  1. NFU without doubt. Repaired my Ranger when I got sideswiped and 100% no fault attributed to me. Insurance is only any good if they pay out. 9 years no caims protected, about £500 iirc.
  2. Apparently the Welsh spelling is wrong too!
  3. Typical local authority mess I guess. Fortunate enough to have been able to just buy another small woodland which had been neglected for 30 years starting to see flowers and fauna returning.
  4. Worth having a look at this topic.
  5. Because he wants a wood? Wants to do his bit for the environment? We wanted some woodland and ended up buying our neighbours 129 acre site. We had no forestry experience but we have learnt over the last 25 years or so with support from FC etc plus Arbtalk! We don't know it all but we have improved the woodland (paws) without ravaging it. It is a joy to see the dogs mercury, bluebells, primroses etc. spreading back throughout the site. Have planted 1,000's of trees to do our bit for the environment having done our share of trashing it in the past! When life gets stressful working in or just enjoying our wood relieves a lot of tensions. Have organised walks so that less able people can enjoy the wood and have allowed people work experience. Also allowed a friend who had a bad car accident freedom to drive around the wood on the 4.5 miles of concrete rides to regain driving skills to enable him to get his licence back. Some of the reasons why we bought our woodland with no experience.
  6. Same here fortunately it doesn't bother me so doesn't wind me up.
  7. Agreed Steelworks all gone apart from a few tubemaking sheds. Fortunately a lot of redevelopment took place. From a proud engineering nation to service industry in a few short years.
  8. Was after a manual for our Caddy van and Ranger and came across this company. Manuals are in pdf format, the one for the Caddy is definitely VW official and the Ford one looks that wayas well. Very comprehensive and useful now that Haynes don't do proper manuals anymore. For £14.99 it's great value. Customer service was excellent with query I had plus got a discount when ordering the second one. 9. When I worked in the steelworks at Corby there was a big vapour Trich cleaning tank that was used to clean the large rolling mill bearings. Guys used to hang their overalls in the tank to get them cleaned - not recommended! Practice was prohibited but always used to catch them doing it.
  10. Not on for a few weeks and ch off now as well.
  11. NFU for my Ranger just over £500. Paid out promptly when woman sideswiped it, no fault to me attributed and no claims secure. Agent told me rates are increasing due to less availability in market.
  12. You're tempting me - stop it.
  13. If you put it through your chipper you'll make more money, looks as if it's up to the job!
  14. Back in the day got a day at Millbrook testing ground on a Company car day, lots of manufacturers there with range of cars to try on the test track and the oval. Great fun my favourite was a Honda S2000. Enjoy your day.
  15. Planted a Gunnii in our wood about 20 years ago, it grew like hell and is as tall as our mature Norway Spruces. Trunk is probably 18" dia. Load of gum nuts on it.
  16. Spot on diesel is not considered as dangerous as petrol is. Most of the signs in filling stations refer to petroleum spirit but the staff don't know the difference to diesel. 'Rules' are /assets/static/govuk-opengraph-image-dade2dad5775023b0568381c4c074b86318194edb36d3d68df721eea7deeac4b.png Carriage by private individuals of diesel (UN 1202), petrol (UN 1203) and kerosene (UN 1223) by road - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK Worth looking at rules for carriage of diesel for work - how many comply with that I wonder? I don't, wasn't aware of them but don't carry regularly and https://publishing.energyinst.org/__data/assets/file/0005/547862/WEB-VERSION-Red-Guide-18.10.18.pdf Interesting cans should not be filled in vehicles but should be on ground and only one open at a time - but that's guidance again for petrol.
  17. could be mycelium on bottom of one of rafters?

  19. Sounds a right pain in the proverbial and so frustrating when it's a recurring issue that Ford can't/won't sort out. Don't suppose you are likely to be picked up by DVSA but fine isn't light if you are and insurance would be invalidated. Hope you get a resolution, must admit I was going to upgrade from my old ranger (2009) but now will keep it and just reduce mileage I do on it. I've been well pleased with it but the horror stories on the newer ones has quite put me off and alternative choices are limited and expensive.
  20. What are you complaining about Eggs? At least you got to see the doctor! No chance around here awful service from the local GP's. Get well soon.
  21. That's coming from the very top, you can see where it's running over the edge in front of the chimney pot and then down, looks as if there is some sort of cowl fitted. Looks as if it might be US based, don't know chimney standards they work to over there.
  22. Incredible doubtless the tranny and trailer were also knicked. Looked as if the owner landed a good one on the driver through the window.
  23. A very blurry sycamore?
  24. Tears rolling down my face - cracker!
  25. The other side of BBC impartiality ref comments about Boris' dad and alleged wife beating.
