  1. It's your depth gauges probably. Without reducing those in line with tooth length, you will cut flour and push harder. [emoji106]
  2. Why not just buy the proper gear in the first place? [emoji848]
  3. Get the directors landline number. Phone him at 4.30/5am everyday just to "remind him" ?[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  4. I was highly sceptical until I used one myself, Bloody brilliant!!! Works great on my 84" GB bar [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  5. Testimonial is above Steve. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  6. Hi Steve, Went on the tip site directory today, Found a local place for chip drops! The guy was really happy to get free chip too[emoji16] Brilliant service I will be using regularly Thanks Saul[emoji106]
  7. Testimonials from sites or tippers? [emoji106]
  8. That was the main reason I bought it. Seen loads of loncin/B&S/etc go for near new prices... madness. I just need reliable. [emoji106]
  9. It's a Jansen GTS1300 Think it's German.(might be Dutch). Found the wide throat is really good. It's a drum chipper which I've not used before, but it's doing ok. [emoji106]
  10. I used a 48" duromatic for years. Never had a problem until I bent it.[emoji849] Yes it does sap a bit of power and warms up in long wide cuts. I run my Saw for 1-2 minutes from start, readjust chain then mill. After milling detension chain. Sometimes with big dry logs I will have to retension a few times. [emoji106]
  11. Basically you can butcher the oak to the ground in winter and it'll be fine. If the sap is flowing though you might get problems in the future. However if you can't wait, Just make sure you leave a tidy cut on the stumps preferably at an angle away from the main trunk. [emoji106]
  12. Tree of heaven as mentioned or possibly staghorn?
  13. The 3rd and 4th picture looks like ash bark.
  14. I cut through nails regularly. Some just won't pull out. If it's small I just ignore them, If it's chunky, I drop the next cut to 4", hoping it's a 4" nail.... not a 6" nail. ?[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  15. That was the original plan. Spoke with one of their guys end of last year, with a mind to get one in spring this year..... So it's this for a while yet. [emoji106]
  16. I get it so regularly. No, I promise you there's no nails.... Whilst I'm looking at the huge blue stain at the base..... [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji106]
  17. Bore cut at 4' up. Sap wood cut on each side Dogs tooth. Preferably in January. [emoji106]
  18. Don't ever mill a log from a back garden..... [emoji12][emoji106]
  19. Yeah, the guy who I got it from bought it ex hire. But it has just chipped that whole pile of crap leylandeii. Fitted in the transit in 1 load too. However it was a case of spoon feeding it. [emoji106]
  20. Anyone know where I can drop a transit load of chipped conifer? Can't get the directory to work?
  21. Get a professional in to drop that leaning stem into the field. If you can take over from that point it'll be a lot cheaper. Where are you based?
  22. Have you actually milled anything?[emoji6] (Never found a nail???) [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
