  1. Bought a stihl msa200 in January, bit skeptical at first. The narrow gauge cuts really fast, loving the low noise and no exhaust!!! No problems so far from the rain. Only 2 issues so far are, 1. no on/off button other than the chain brake. 2. have to keep checking oil levels regularly. Electric saws will only improve. It's the future. Wish they'd put out an electric 660/661 though. [emoji106]
  2. Little red spider like things called trombidei or something. Two different types a nice one and a bitey one. Had to pull a few off more than once. I can't remember the details but I think they also carry a nasty disease. Really tiny little feckers.
  3. Yeah manual says water resistant. Ok in rain. But no swimming.
  4. Yep, as Daniel says. [emoji106]
  5. 10% discount on receipt of a bacon sandwich.
  6. Has anyone on here ever read or even looked at a copy of the Koran? Every chapter starts with the same paragraph about how men and women are equal. "Sharia law" on the other hand... Then add the Sunni/Shia/ Wahhabism/nationalism/ Tribalism etc Look at the history of the "Middle East", the British empire were all over it. "Lines in the sand"... To generalise more than a billion people located globally is just .... [emoji529][emoji529][emoji529]
  7. I'm 41 looking to do climbing next couple of years. It's the experience employers look for. Mature workers normally turn up to work on time, sober, and are enthusiastic to work and learn.
  8. Don't know if it's true but: We were told as kids "not to pull out ticks as that leaves the hooked legs in". We used a hot pin or a lit cigarette. When you touched them, they made a "tick" noise. The idea was it shocked the tick making the hooked legs straighten up, so you could pull it out. If you weren't quick it would re grip, and you'd have to start again. Not all ticks carry the disease fortunately.
  9. Errr as a kid in Devon we'd get back from camping and sit with a pin and matches removing ticks. Must have removed more than a hundred over ten years. Had 17 removed one morning. They love the bracken, especially when sheep have grazed nearby.
  10. Don't know how to post videos, but put this into YouTube. How 1 black man defeated the kkk
  11. Many years ago I worked in heavy industry, making huge concrete slabs for pre floors. 2.5m x 1-9m long 5cm - 9cm thick! Each slab contained 60-160 high tensile steel wires 6mm thick. Concrete slabs without rebar or wire will probably bend and crack at some point. If not professionally mixed concrete, stress lines will help crack it. Can you dig it up all up and re-lay with steels in? Or is there height to whack another 6" over the top with steel?
  12. That's the French! Nation of ....... where abouts are you Mick?
  13. Is the slab concave-subsidence or convex- root expansion or just shlt concrete?
  14. 3/8 Or 404 ground to 0 degrees, 10-15 degrees is faster but less clean finish. Go slow on the grinder when taking the point off.
  15. You can buy a small saw for under £200. A big saw cutting small logs? Wear shin pads. And a box. A small saw milling just kills it.
  16. Not too bad, but he spent a lot of time driving a huge skidder and other tractors. His skill in hand filing chains is incredible though.
  17. 55cm x 80cm 20-30kg Wholesale £2.50-£3 Retail £5-£6
  18. Oh yeah, I've met that one. This is where several big mates comes in handy.
  19. Obviously the pope is unbiased, especially against "the competition" ???
  20. Really nice character wood.
  21. I ran my 440 with a 16" bar for chestnut, like cutting butter. But for really fast green wood crosscutting, a 661 with 8 tooth sprocket and a bar 25" or shorter is fun. I know a guy who ran two 066's with 20" bars. Nothing else. He retired a few years back after 30 odd years in the business.
  22. Carling beer, not 4% abv But 3.7% !!! This is clearly the work of Muslim paedophile gangs.
  23. Technically you could probably get a 12" bar. 3003 mount .325 But then why use a 661? What will you be cutting?
