Bringing Muslim extremists and terrorists to justice is very hard as usually they die in the act of killing innocents by blowing themselves up shooting themselves or getting shot off armed police etc. Bringing a religion to justice is extremely difficult without looking like a right winged nut come racist. The solution to a better outcome is to act like Dubai, come here but follow our rules. It is far too late for the UK to start deporting people based on religion as we have 3rd 4th and maybe 5th generation families here now making them British muslims. What we do need though and what would be nice is for some of our British muslims to stand up and publicly disagree with the extreme acts and to plee with immigrants wanting to come to the UK to obey by our rules and laws after all there are millions of muslims here who do not cause problems have highly skilled jobs and pay their taxes and offer us a lot i.e. Lots of doctors and surgeons in this country are muslims and lets be fair they save many lives on a daily basis! Oh as for muslims disagreeing with homosexuals well they may do in public but in places like afghan and Iraq they definitely do not disagree with it in private. I honestly wouldn't care what other people think! At the end of the day you have to look after number 1! So long as you are charging right and doing a good job you will build a good customer base over time and it's what they think that counts. I for one wouldn't judge you for having 2 jobs that to me says your prepared to graft. You have cleared it with upper management and your working separate counties, can't say fairer than that. In terms of how we benchmark the scheme, this is principally against, for instance, BS3998, and as contributors to its production, and the plethora of H&S and Environ. and Wildlife etc. etc. legislation. Also, and most importantly, we regularly consult with the HSE who, in turn, refer to the scheme (well actually the scheme standards) as an industry benchmark. Clearly this is important as if the regulator didn't like it, or thought it was lacking, they wouldn't go near it. We should all be working towards these principles regardless of accreditation. I completely agree that if it was enforced upon the industry it would definitely increase standards however the time and money spent to gain approval then the time and money spent advertising it and making people aware could perhaps be put to better use by small outfits. I am definitely not against accreditation or the message you are sending out by the way, just thinking out loud really. Who knows you may see me in attendance in the future ....
