  1. Do you find yourself agreeing with Tony Blair or Gordon Brown?
  2. Yeh, when I’m starving and completely broke I think the most nutritious and filling items are Watermellons and Angel Whip. Clearly not hungry and most likely a repeat offender.
  3. Agreed. Thanks for the insight. No replacement for displacement! Now there's a term I dont hear too often outside the world of American Muscle Cars, Mopars in particular.
  4. Remember when you ripped those pictures off the internet and passed them off as yours on here and then thanked people when they gave you praise for them? I do, that was funny. Maybe you should post more pictures of your work instead of constantly belittling other peoples work? That would be nice.
  5. Maybe the HM130 max can cut a width of 30" but a HM130 can handle a 30" log but I think the Cant is 24" or under? The Logosol equivalent recommends the bigger Engine option if maxing out the Mill regularly with Hardwood which is 18hp. But if Im honest with the 14hp engine and Ripper Blades the 14hp does not really struggle till the Blade is dull altjhough I keep an eye out for the 18hp engine on ebay.
  6. Looking good! Did you get the Makita in the end? Looks like its gonna be a nice project. Is that 6 or 8 inch beams? Got a drawing of the plans?
  7. Nothing on my phone but its the same as this one. plumb+xtra+damascus+steel - Google Search WWW.GOOGLE.COM Proper frontiersman Hatchet.
  8. Oh, bought a Plumb Octagon Head extra damascus steel Hatchet from the US mid West a few years ago. Made in the late 1880's as far as I can tell. Lovely bit of kit.
  9. Bio oil and Aspen? Milling like a king. [emoji16]
  10. Got a X27, a Husky S1600, a Husky hand forged hatchet, a Stihl Forest Axe and a bunch of generic's that you just seems to acquire after growing up in the arb world.
  11. Was thinking it was a bit steep. Offered £50 initially but was turned down. Thanks Saul.
  12. Got a chance to buy a Wytch Elm Burr. Bur itself is 600mm x 600mm x 500mm not including the rest of the log. Bone dry supposedly. Can’t get it less than £100. Worth it?
  13. I use this as well. Seems OK. I seem to get sent 50% off ebay vouchers every so often so use them to buy chain and 2 stroke oil.
  14. How much does a veneer cut command?
  15. Ive resawn Two to three year oak on my Mill without a problem. I did tighten the band past the optimum setting though. Cut nice.
  16. Damn! I think they’re the best looking slabs I’ve seen on here to date! Bet they bring in a pretty penny.
  17. Im 6.1" I think Id prefer the X25 than the X27 to be honest, but I like a slightly higher chopping Block. At 5.7" I feel you'd be at an even bigger disadvantage than myself. The light weight means you really have to swing on slightly knotty stuff like Spruce. I have the Husky S1600 as well, nice little splitting axe. Perfect for straight grained hardwood.
  18. Thats a real shame Les. Curious why you unblocked me then?
  19. Get over yourself, Pal.
  20. I never mentioned you in my last post and I was not referring to you either. Les made that claim in this very thread, but I guess your White Knight internet savior mode is only reserved for my posts? And yes, if pushed enough my viscous streak comes out, pal.....
  21. They work together? ?‍♂️ I notice it never bothered you when he was calling another members wife fat? Selective disgust maybe?
  22. There’s something seriously wrong with you Less. A Logosol B1001 would suit a Farmer down to the ground if he wanted a new Mill. They are a well built Mill. The OP asked me my experiences with mine B751 and I was happy to answer his questions. Now you may well say Woodmizers are the best, but what Mills have you personally owned yourself? As far as I’m aware you’ve just had Woodland Mills, nothing wrong with that but don’t give it the Billy Big Balls because you’re in chicken shit territory pretending you’re the big man. Do you even own a Mill anymore? Or are you just scooting around in your knackered old digger licking windows with your son? You’ve actually added nothing to this conversation other than making snide potshots and have nothing to back your point of view up than your experience of someone stupid enough to let you have a go on their Woodmizer and now you think your an expert in all things Woodmizer. So how about you STFU and maybe post the pictures of that staircase you’ve been promising to for months but are to scared to.
  23. For sure! A log deck is simply the best solution. Gently roll the log on by hand. No shocks or judders to the Mill and checking alignment again. (Portable) But out in the field I do like the Avant. It’s very manoeuvrable. The log grab allows me to position the log any which way I like and can be eased onto the bed. Does not always work out that way of course. ? I also have the Winch and ramps. Also works great.
