  1. You’re on to a hiding here Dave. People just don’t care. They’d rather win smug “woke” points on the internet. “But, but but” comments. Like the Crusades? ?‍♂️ It’s pointless arguing against that kind of mentality. Thoughts and prayers as I mentioned earlier.

  3. My eyes are painted on. I really dont know enough about Ash to say. Did read this though; The wood is fairly stable and dries faster than the norm, with minimal shrinkage when drying. https://www.canadianwoodworking.com/get-more/white-ash-fraxinus-americana#:~:text=This versatile wood is also, fine flooring%2C cabinetry and furniture.&text=Woodworkers appreciate the lustrous look,is similar to red oak.&text=The wood is fairly stable, with minimal shrinkage when drying.
  4. What wood are you milling them out of? For what will most likely be fairly small pieces cant you order kiln dried on-line? I milled my Mantle and supports recently. Was not fussed about a few cracks/checks. Adds character [emoji3] Milled it outta Oak. Within a week the Stove was lit and is blasting out the heat. Thats been over 4 weeks now and its remained surprisingly stable.
  5. When I served my time as a mechanic there was a lass going to tech at the same time as us. We all worked together as a team and more importantly we could all bring something different to the table. We where all about the same competency-wise. Big lads can do the heavier lifting if needed, but being quite a petite lass she could get her hands into the most difficult of places in an engine bay that the lads simply could not. Its all about team work and using and not detracting from our strengths. We're seeing far more ladies off-shore here in Norway, and not just the cushie jobs but the 12-16 hours in the driving rain and snow jobs head to toe in Oil Based -mud on the Drill Floor. I look forward to working with the girls in our crew and they just get on with it and generally put in way and above most of what the lads do. Plus having a cute girl on the crew you have no issues getting lifts with the crane.
  6. Thoughts and prayers. There is zero interest here for this kind of news. Zero. Its the Elephant in the room everyone is more than happy to ignore.
  7. Any account names? So I know to block them (obviously)
  8. If anyone needs some anti-vibe gloves I have a bag full of new ones. Happy to post them out, just drop me a PM.
  9. I mean the new 881 looks a bit like Krytons head.
  10. It kinda reminds me of Red Dwarf.
  11. No, none at all. That’s why when describing the stumps I have been grinding out why I liked the Rayco I’ve been using for the last few years. ?‍♂️ Yet also made it clear that whilst I’ve not used the Rock version it gets good reviews and linked to a thread on here discussing it. ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️
  12. I really hope that’s not an euphemism Stubby. [emoji33]
  13. Quite the legend. https://9gag.com/gag/a438Qdd#comment (scroll up)
  14. Beautiful! Id love a Mill like that one day.
  15. Maybe dig out the old threads on here and ask the guys that posted them? At 13hp there is only so much you can expect anyway.
  16. Always this conversion if you find they standard teeth not up to the job. Yes, another grand, but you might not even need it. The standard teeth might surprise you? Im waiting til I have some spare cash and I'll be buying this, unless a used Rayco comes on the market for under £2000. Its what I borrow off of a Tree Surgeon mate and I really like it for grinding out my 20-30" dbh stumps. But I have loads of wee stumps to come out as well, or will have when I drop the trees. 17. So Im not on block then? I really dont have much of an interest in you puffing your chest feathers to be honest.
  18. 1, Was the previous rope 8mm? It might have been a different profile too? Ie not cylindrical and more of a flat type? It you've replaced like for like then maybe the new one needed stretched out a little? Whenever I replace mine I stretch and glue as I go. And I think the glue bottle says not to close til the glue is dry? 2, Is that the casting sheared off? If it is then its goosed, unless it has sentimental value and you want it welded up. 20 years old is not a bad innings really. The Squirrels really hold their value, might be time to flog it and buy a new one?
  19. Have you had a look at Rock Machinerys 13hp offering? £1600. Supposedly gets good reviews. Even one or two positive reviews on here. 20. Malaysian ex-PM tweets that Muslims have 'right' to kill French people after deadly Nice attack WWW.GOOGLE.CO.UK Mahathir Mohamad launched an extraordinary outburst in a series of tweets This should be a wake-up call. Maybe Le Pen will win the next French election and actually act?
  21. People just don’t care ?‍♂️. Thoughts and prayers, that’s about as far as it will go. Everyone seems much more concerned with a virus that kills people who are 82 years of age than the continuing Islamic Terrorists on our doorsteps.
  22. Hello and welcome from a fellow North Eastener. I'm a wee bit down the coast from you though. There's another member who Mills wood up your way. But potentially saw dust from a bandsaw would be a bit fine for you? Is there issues with using softwood? Ive been throwing a mix of predominantly hard and some soft in with my chickens for a few years now.
