  1. For arb waste you can't go wrong with a chainsaw and axe or hydraulic log splitter, and if your not doing a great volume then don't over complicate things by getting expensive machinery as all it will do is produce what u need then sit around for a while and obviously with more machinery comes more expense and more trouble with it breaking down or getting pinched!!
  2. You will get a bit of scapegoat back aswell when you clear the ash tray then!! And it's always nice to see a lovely clean concreted yard, not that I or any of the other lads on here would be jealous or anything ; )

  6. Well I'm guessing he would need more than just one axe haha, been using the axe this week having a break from the processor, I quite enjoy axing but the output is just not there, then again I can split probably around 2cube an hour if a get stuck in, did a day of 6 hours and got just over 10 cube done
  7. Only 750 tonnes a month I don't know y you bother haha ; ), nah good on you, I think we did about 40 cube in April at a guess probably a bit more thinking off it so we have dropped of a bit but now it's summer and other work takes over

  9. We have sh*t loads of wood all cut and split, I'll get some pics for you but this time last year we went crazy processing loads and I mean loads of wood especially when we were hearing of it being the coldest winter in 50years, so as we didnt sell as much as we expected (although it was still oir best year to date) we have loads of wood ready for next winter qhich means we only have to process the odd few load of arb waste as and when it comes in!

  20. could you not use the chipping/sawdust for anything like biomass, surely anythings better than just throwing it away, after all it may sound silly but youve had to pay for the cord and all the waste is sorta like throwing money away
