  1. I see you have a ktm splitter! !! Just like us haha, descent splitter for the money
  2. Do you know if the 480 needs a more powerfull tractor than the 400 and does it have its own battery etc to power the electronic parts or do you have to hook it up the tractor
  3. Theres also cordwood for sale on ebay...... might be worth u guys having a look at
  4. Any ideas why there is such a shortage, I the woods are decreasing but like u guys said theres nothing about that decent, also is it chantler wood?? They snap up all the cord wood but probably sell it on at high prices......
  5. I really do like tagfun and if I was to get a new processor I would definitely get the 400 joy! What do u think of the 480, seen vids on them and they look very neat and hi tech, but also look expensive. My dalen cuts the small stuff easily just need to be gentle with it, but you're right definitely get alot more waste and shards of wood with the smaller stuff and it keeps getting in the rollers on my conveyor which is the biggest downfall on my machine!
  6. Nahh I have an old samsung s3 mini, had it a while but has been good, been whacked by logs a few times when it been in me pocket but has been strong!
  7. Been pretty quiet lately, need a cold feb but doubt we'll get one!!
  8. I thought it may be abit easier to get wood up there dont you have alot of woodland and forests to get cord from, and Scotland is not to far!
  9. I meant all set wagers against each other (bets) I.e who ever produces the most logs in say 2months gets 5k. But if theres say 10 guys doing it then each person put in 500 quid
  10. Or go the opposite route and all set wages against each other to see who can produce the most loks in a set time (abit like ax men, the tv show, but with out all the over the top b.s!)
  11. Yh I agree unless you have perfect straoght cord and alot of supply theres no point, and I always like the fact of when something is made in england! The one on ebay with log deck etc etc was £22k which is ok I guess, but whwen theres a good condition hakki pilke 1x37 for 6k and a japa 370 for around 5k then in my mind id rather by the cheaper option as it can do more or less the same wood/job just as quick! And 6k is easier to find than 22k!!!!
  12. When I was trying to upload some pics last night I could fibd where you can crop / rotate the pics. Im on the Internet with my phone so maybe I cant do it unless I have the app or a computer???
  13. I put the the small stuff through the proceesor just so I havnt got to handle it again!! Also just out of interest what processor do youhave
  14. Depends on what your processing it with, both are easily enough to do with chainsaw but processors always prefer the straight stuff, I process arb waste so so working with straight 7ft pieces would be like a god send compared to some of the stuff I have to deal with!!
  15. Been looking on ebay and theres quite a few processors for sale at quite reasonable prices! Any of you guys looking for one and theres a fuelwood transaw 350 xl processor for sale on their. Ive seen them advertised in things like the forestry journal but never sen one in action so looked on you tube, they look pretty decent, any one on here got one??
  16. Do u have any pics of your processor, would be nice to have a look mate!!
  17. Is there a good supply up in Yorkshire either through cordwood or genral arb waste
  18. What ive been on today, atleast its been a lovely warm sunny day down here, although wouldn't mind a cold spell to sell some logs!
  19. Just curious, is there alot of demand for firewood up north I.e Yorkshire, iknow its alot colder than down south and im guessing there are more houses still using wood as fuel but I though with alot of it being farmland meaning there will be quite a few already doing logs and its not as densely populated like down here that it may not be viable? ?
  20. Yep too true!! Unfortunately for me need the money in the bank first!
  21. Very true! Although tbh ive never been a hater of winter infact I enjoy it and the same goes for mondays, its just today I was in one of those... "I can't be f***ed for this" moods. Which wasnt helped by this bloody ear ache ive got
  22. Winds are picking up down here but no rain........... for now!! Can see some dark clouds coming in hopefully this wind will blow them on their merry way before they start leaking!!!!
