    Mountain Biking

Will do, not been to lakes for years but had a good weekend there once hitting Grizedale, Whinlatter and Gisburn on way home! Here's my baby, only a entry level hardtail (carrera fury) but has been great on everything I've tackled on it!
  2. That's fair enough and was expecting more replies like that tbh. Was just looking because "it's better to be safe then sorry" as the saying goes. Not saying I actually need a padded jacket, or ever will do, but if I could get one cheap I would.
  3. I'm getting it quite a lot now, every other click comes up with the Database message.
  4. I know a lad at work that would probably wear them
  5. That does look nasty! Thought there would have been more people called out yesterday with the winds we had!
  6. Welcome, will get plenty of advice on any subject from people on here. I like my job and don't mind getting up for work every morning. I'm not an arborist but, technical name, Grounds Maintenance Operative which is just landscape works such as shrub pruning, hedge cutting, grass cutting etc. but it's something different everyday and I get to use a variety of tools!
  7. I keep getting that message quite a lot now!!
  8. And wheres the fun in that!? The jackets with protection are very expensive, don't think I'll bother tbh, was just wanting a bit of extra safety.
  9. Well that's shite, thought it did and the economy ones didn't
  10. Anyone have any experience with this jacket? Is it any good (movability wise, breathable etc.) and does it have chainsaw protection? Doesn't say on stihl website weather it does or not but should imagine it does. Thanks people.

    Mountain Biking

It's pretty decent, plenty of places to go! There is a bunch of local woods near me which are good for a quick blast out but I also live close to Parkwood Springs with its (relatively new) trail, also Peak District is not to far away and of course Wharncliffe woods. All a quick drive or steady ride to get too aswell! And on top of that Sherwood Pines is only a hours drive away

    Mountain Biking

That was my problem didn't have time due to having a new addition to the family. Going to start riding to and from work again and try and get out once every couple of weekends somewhere. Wales! Only been to Llandegla but was first ever trial I went to. That's what I mean about prices, a bunch load of top spec Orange 5's going for around £1400-1800 on ebay. Shame I don't have any spare money
  13. I would love to go to NZ one day, either to work or bike!
  14. Anyone do it? I'm just getting back into it after 1-2 years out of it and can't belive how cheap some of the top bikes are now!
  15. Going round a little area known as Kelham Island. Full of real ale pubs. Have to pay for this all ourselves as work have decided the free bar in weatherspoons costs too much after last year!
  16. Well said TGB, all this hype about it been black Friday and major savings to be had then you get a tenner knocked off a £500 TV!!
  17. I never have any money to spend anyway so doesn't matter to me
  18. Thought it was going to be a bit more 'intimate' of a story if you get my drift

    Raffle

As I'm new here can you explain how the raffle works please?
  20. Sounds like pretty sound advice to me! Surely you are going to get more work from professional firms then homeowners.
  21. It took me 10 minutes to even realise they was a chainsaw in this pic!
  22. Well said, who cares what the people in the catalogue look like? It's the equipment and tools your looking at
