  1. I do all my work gear friday afternoons stright after work. Jumper, shirt, Hi-vis shirt and trousers all go in together on a 40 °c wash (pfanner trousers) Did you also know you are supposed to stretch the trousers prior to drying them?
  2. I reckon it'll be in new year when temperature drops. January, February time so will get quite a warm x-mas!
  3. Hey guys, has anybody used any other timberpro products except for their chainsaws? I'm looking to get some equipment together for private work so been looking at second hand stuff or cheaper brands, such as timberpro. Been looking at their brand of hedge cutters which look cheap but have got good reviews, so any personal experience with these by anyone on here?

Cheers, Will check that out. I've just ordered one (see above) so unless I can get them real cheap I was just going to wait until next month to order some more.

  9. One cuts trees down the other cuts trees down.
  10. But if your selling it on side as a little extra earner I don't think you'll need all that?
  11. I'm not trying to say it's not worth registering, I was just curious as to what the recovery rate was like. If I had any tools stolen I would register them on there anything that would help me recover my tools!

What books would you guys recommend for somebody starting out or just wanting to learn more about arboriculture and trees in general? There is absolutely thousands to choose from on amazon and such sites so any you personally used when learning that you'd recommend?
  16. Whats the recovery rate like for tools that have been put on there? Would imagine most scum that sell stolen gear remove the serial numbers anyway?
  17. Or maybe he just hasn't had the time to come back on and check for replies yet??

    Log storing

Nice one Python, may be able to make it bigger now too. 4 pallets as base, 2 front, 2 back and 2 either side

    Log storing

I'm about to go down this route. Just got some free pallets from work so thought....2 pallets as base, 2 as back, 2 as front, and 1 at each end. What you reckon? I know it won't be much storage space but is enough to get me going for now. Then just put a sheet of tarp over top but leave the 4 sides exposed? Thanks.

    a quick vid

Not bad, would watch a longer version for sure. Do you have a YouTube page? Watched your other vid but couldn't find a link.
  22. Thanks, if I can get the tickets myself then there is a strong possibility of transferring over to the arb side at work! Also on the 1 day chipper course in January so at least that is another ticket.
  23. Hi, I'm in a situation similar to yours, as in, I work in Horticulture and only have cs30 and 31 but interested in getting into arboriculture more. I think your best bet is to try get some work as a groundsman with an arb firm for experience and get your woodchipper licence and also if possible cs38 and 39. As work won't pay for any courses I'm going to save up myself for the cs38/39 course in the new year
