  1. Put an add on ebay... timberwolf 125 breaking for spares.... if you just put spout in they'll be on to you...
  2. Yea I was hoping the same but he's a bit to clever for that... still he's down a few grand he must of paid a bit for them.. we'll have to have the satisfaction he's lost money and someone has got their plant back.....
  3. Just thought I'd relate a story about yesterday's events... Stood in the kitchen pasting a couple of cream crackers with some cheap Pate' I'd bought from Aldi the day before and I hears a voice at the door.. Hello, you in there!.. who the fk is that I thinks, Err Yea, who is it I shouts, as you do.. Its the Police.... I went to open the door and two cops are stood there, one in uniform one dressed in plain cloths.. What have I done now I ask jokingly.. Oh it might be nothing as yet. I could tell he'd sussed me out and I just didn't look or act like I had somethin to hide... like a typical criminal caught off guard so to speak.. Well how can I help you I said.. We're looking for a stolen mini digger, and its pings coming out that building over there, he pointed to the large garage at the side of the house... Oh I thinks, perhaps someones put a stolen digger in there why I was away for a day or so.. couldn't wait to open it and hope to see someones thievery come to ruin. I got the key fob and walked to the garage exited at the prospect that a crime might be solved in a few moments time, but I had my doubts.. what you lookin for I asked.. a kubota mini digger they said, just as the door was winding up and exposing the arms of our one an half ton Kubota mini digger.. we've had this a while I said, welcome to check the numbers I said.nervously.. well you never know, it might of bin bought legit but stolen before?. No its a micro digger stolen from round Liverpool.. Oh well take a look round see that theres nowt here stolen, you can check all our other buildings as well I said... they looked a bit cheesed off that they hadn't found the digger but satisfied I wasn't a criminal.. it was somethin I suppose. They poked around a bit looking through the buildings, who's is that place over there they asked, oh its my sisters place, lives round the corner.. might want to go round and see her if you fancy checking that place over.. I left em to it... Gets a phone call later in the day asking why the cops had been parked up down the track and why a digger and dumper had been loaded onto a trailer later that afternoon.. What colour digger was it I said, white!... thats a bit funny I thinks, they were looking for an orange one.. I asked my nethew if he'd had a mini digger taken by the police.. Oh yea, digger and dumper.. what that white one you was painting a couple of weeks back, yea that one and that dumper I had as well... hahahahaha I've told him a million times not to buy dodgy tackle.. turns out they went on his place and made him open all his sheds buildings and lockups and checked everything in em,... what did you tell em I asked, told em I was storing them for a man called John.. a traveler.. Oh you did did you.. Yea this John and his crew get a bit intimidating and they threatened me he told them.. well that digger and dumper turned out cheap didn't they I said.. The moral of the story is don't be buying cheap knocked off goods.. and even if your tackle is stolen, you never know it might be returned one day... Not to mention the police are out there doing their jobs, not sat on their arses as some would have us believe..... I didn't see the police after I showed em round the place but I'm sure they felt they'd had a good day going from thinking they might come away with one micro digger instead going away with a mini digger plus a bonus of a one ton dumper.. a case of losing a penny and finding a pound for those two fella's... well done..
  4. I'm not an expert just came across it on utube.. some do rail against it mind.. I'd just wear a tight fitting pair of keks myself, in fact ticks are somethin I never much think about.. sort of take my chances as not all of em carry limes disease...
  5. So then, being caustic is a virtue of sorts, and there you was berating Dawkins for doin something even Jesus engaged in on occasion.. you hypocrite take the plank from your eye ?
  6. You'd think someone would of gone to the trouble of teaching someone to write so as to write down exactly what they mean instead of leaving it to a bunch of parables...
  7. Lets be honest, considering the circumstances you'd expect a little charity without the begging.. And the point was that Jesus just like Dawkins could be a little caustic to get a point across..
  8. I'm sure he is caustic on occasion.. but, how do you explain this.. Woman comes out of Caanan asks for help for her daughter.. what does jesus say... he ain't there to help dogs.. very nice and graceful I'm sure..
  9. can't argue with that.. but I know most strikes were about pay and conditions.. the odd ones in regard the numties getting above themselves in the unions...
  10. In defense of the unions it might be an idea to take a look at economics.. to pay down national debt you can inflate your way out of it.. its what Germany attempted during the twenties, and many others countries still do today.. We're attempting the same thing ourselves even today in a roundabout way.... Given that the government might want to inflate itself out of a crisis, why wouldn't the unions want to defend their workers rights by having the same inflation rated wages as the government was creating to pay off its debt?... And, because the government used inflation to pay down loans, its only to be expected that unions might want to strike to defend the interests of their members.. Perhaps the people who created Scargill was both Labour and Conservative government tryin to pull one over the people of this country.... Perhaps the real Scargill was none other than Heath and Callahan pushing too hard at the time.. The same beast that created brexit in a way, with all this austerity.. due to paying down our debt..
  11. She's a poor mans Churchill for me.. pound shop version. Did well to bring unions to heel, lost all credibility following Kieth Josephs Monetarism economic theory.. mind you she was in good company at the time.. Ronald Reagan was dumber than her.. I cut taxes in California and tax receipts rose, oh nothing to do with lowering them in a growing economy then.. thick as two short planks.. lets remember it took twenty yrs to recover from her bull in a china shop economic experiment... my fav moment of her premiership, the stock exchange jumping when she announced she was on her way out... Capitalism clapping her into retirement...
  12. Ha, reminds of that Muslim protest outside that school.. bleating about having their children indoctrinated... morons.. Regarding swearing, I delete plenty more swear words than you will ever see by me.. sparingly is the watchword.. Heres my suggestion, on threads related to arb work.. which is what the general public might come across while pursuing answers to arb related questions it might be an idea to enforce arbtalk rulles.. On the general forum were we discuss anything we care to, we can say what the hell we want.. which by the way is something I try to do..
  13. Thats nothin but two ill informed numbties exposing their ignorance.. they should look at this one for balance..
  14. Well it might be thats it called the bystander effect, but it amounts to it being somebody else problem in colloquial terms.. why are you trying to make a point of it, does it matter what its called.. a rose by any other name..
  15. Err not that but their attitude living simply and enduring hardships as part of life.. stoicism is similar I think.. anyway, I like to live simply and with some hardship as a bonus..
  16. So you missed the Wiki article I posted below the vid?.. I could of posted others as Kennith provided links to many others on his utube site under the vid...
  17. I think I must have the lowest carbon footprint on here... never drive unless I have to, make sure no lights are turned on when they don't need be on and for the most part heating is provided by a giant duck down quilt I use why sat on my couch/lying on my couch.. I'm sat here now the wind blowing through the doors and windows and snug as anug in a rug... I recon I can get through a winter with fires on two weeks all told.. its not for everyone but I like to pit myself against the elements.. something to do with admiring the way of the Spartans.. I like that sort of shit...plus it has the advantage of lowering my carbon footprint..
  18. i came across it while watching a vid a couple of yrs back.. the fella talking about it said it was something the military had understood about for yrs.. not sure if its actually not my problem syndrome but its what he called it.. I'll find the vid you can watch it all or watch it where I put a time mark for reference... turn on at five minutes... for the explanation I remember him giving some yrs back.. wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somebody_else's_problem
  19. If a person saw a man walking towards em with an axe dripping with blood and a body further up the path.. chances are they'd walk on by and have nothing to do with the situation they just witnessed.. Its called, "not my problem" syndrome.. better to pretend you didn't witness something than to deal with it.. I suspect the people who deny climate change to be under the same psychological condition.. If they ignore it, they can pretend it isn't happening..
  20. not that I haven't mentioned it before but its worth repeating as its a subject I've done some research on.. My own pet theory was climate change was being promoted in lieu of the real upcoming crisis that will end it all for all of us.. The upcoming oil crisis.. seeing as you can't exactly speak on that subject without scarring people to death I thought the elite were using climate change to promote environmental issues to get us to use less oils and natural resources to give us time to find alternatives... I still believe that to be true, but I also believe climate change is real and is caused by industrial pollution over time.. there isn't any doubt in my mind, I've seen the evidence presented by a real scientists who knows what they're talking about.. My road to Damascus moment happened last yr with me in regards this issue and how grave it is gonna be going forward.. I used to think the oil crisis was the real worry and climate change secondary.. while musing on the hot summer last yr and its causes though, the penny finally dropped.. The Jet stream.. Never entered my head that that might be effected.. last yr it did.. the jet stream stayed north last summer, explained why we had a hot summer.. what happens if it stayed up there every yr I thought?.. fk, thats the key to it all..... if the ice caps lose volume then thats exactly likely to be the result.. not only that it will cause a runaway effect and cause more ice to melt, causing the jet stream to idle about up there over many summers at a time.. crop yealds will fall, water shortages will be commonplace.. the middle east will burn like a desert even more than it does today.. causing pressure on migration to the North.. I don't think anyone understands how important the jet stream is.. how its the canary in the coal mine in regards climate change.. if that fks up, we'll know we're heading to something pretty unpleasant.. I regard that as even more worrying than the end of the oil age..
  21. Theres a product called Deet that is mean't to keep bugs away from you.. rub some on your cloths.. sold on amazon.. about a tenner.. Other advice I've come across is wear tight fitting underpants, perhaps wear ladies tights if your really worried..keep the fkrs off your tackle..
  22. I did explain that it was in a field that once belonged to the gypsies but they didn't buy it.. 800quid or no internet.. fkrs... took me six months before I could bring myself to pay it... Oh and I don't imagine all poles have some cross member at the base, maybe only those on very loose ground, sand for instance.. I should imagine choppin em off and farm jacking the stump out would work fine ordinarily..
  23. I cut one down yrs back thinking I didn't need a phone line no more, what with mobiles an all.. then wanted internet and they came out seen the missing pole and wanted 800 quid for replacing it... most expensive firewood I ever used...
  24. I nearly jumped out my fkin seat at the cinema LOL...
