  1. Awaiting answers with interest..
  2. believe it or not for the last month or so I've been investigating winches and such, the original intention was for pulling my chippers onto a trailer.. before I knew It I was looking at all sorts of different winches.. the petrol powered ones the GRCS and many others in between.. I was tempted to get one of those GRCS capstan winches but don't do anything like enough tree work to justify spending two and a half grand on them.. or the petrol powered ones for the same reason. I eventually settled on a endless rope winch that costs about 70 quid from a manufacturer in the States.. bought through Amazon.. I figured its better to buy a winch I'll end up using rather than a winch that spends most of its time in the shed.. and one that don't cost an arm an a leg to sit in said shed gathering dust..
  3. Why do I find that very hard to believe..
  4. That my friend is because I'm pretty entertaining on occasion.. something I can't say about you. Not to mention I don't need to spend half the night gettin pissed in order to muster some courage to speak my mind.. you damned drunk..
  5. More like someones scaffold tower who has an allotment, a bow saw and a weekend burn to get shut of the evidence.. cost about ten quid as opposed god knows what.. good luck to em if your asking me....
  6. reminds me of one or two of my customers.. the lengths they've gone to to get the council to do something. Once I get one of those battery saws I might be able to help one of em out.. a stormy night, lashing down, a couple of minutes work then collect my loot the following day... easy money..
  7. Ha, didn't even know there was such a thing as a red route.. just shows how much crap is crammed into the highway code... Anyway, good tip for you................. memory aid if you will. all the easy ones that you know, put em to one side and concentrate on the harder ones.. example... dual carriageway ends.. think of someone or something whose name begins with R.. Thats a reference to the red triangle.. if you know some one called Richard imagine him one hundred foot tall, inside the red triangle is what might be a pair of legs.. now the trick is to link those images with what it means on the sign.. The more outrageous the images you can muster the more likely you'll remember it... You've a hundred foot image of a friend/Richard having a duel with a naked pair of womens legs... sort of link that to the actual sign.... invent a system to link all round signs and all the others so its easy to retrieve from this index you intend to create... Its a common trick used by people who used to perform memory tricks on stage.. it works. just so long as you put some effort into it.... Once you have an index of exaggerated images on file you can ask your friends to test you on them..
  8. They may ave demolished your school, I doubt they demolished your school records.. try the local authority.. maybe a letter from a professional.. your doctor maybe.. You could practice listening to questions as well.. have someone ask you questions as a bit of practice.. take a highway code to work and have questions delivered when you get a couple of minutes... put yourself on a timer to create the same conditions as a test.... bear in mind the test isn't there to catch you out, its designed to see how safe you're likely to be driving on the roads.. they'll want you to pass more than yourself.. bear that in mind it might relax you on a test..
  9. surely there must be a work around for people with this problem.. found it... https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/taking-your-theory-test-if-you-have-special-requirements says you can opt for help on tests if you can't spell that good... mind you you'd still have to pass the test mind....
  10. have you done one and failed.. if not research the subject till you're blue in the face, practice likely questions.., get comfortable running through mock senarios.... I haven't done one myself but heard it isn't hard.. somethin to practice on, familiarize yourself on whats expected..
  11. do your own research, you lazy sod...
  12. Sorry Mr Bullman but I do... I've been on this site long enough for you to know that if I opine on a subject, its means I'm right..
  13. I've covered this before, not much different than they are today...
  14. That place is a nightmare.. been done twice there.. this year for parking on a grass verge in the middle of nowhere and first time a few years back for no seat belt.. I swear if they know your from England they slaver at the mouth to give you a ticket for something, anything.
  15. I don't like it one bit.. never will.. One of my customers had some installed at the bottom of the garden two years back.. I put the mower on it to pick the leaves up last year.. the look on the cleaners face when she looked out the window and saw me cutting the plastic grass.....priceless..
  16. Well maybe they seem to, but I get a giggle out of it myself.. I'd rather have em here pokin fun than not here leading to a boring thread..
  17. Are they not allowed to have a bit of friendly banter without people trying to judge em... lighten up..

    Shingles

Just googles shingles seein what it is. two weeks back I started to do some serious itching causing something of an irritating rash.. hadn't a clue what it was so googled it.. Apparently I had, have hives.. clears up during the day then starts again during the evening.. at first I thought maybe insect bites, then retraced my steps as anything new I'd done.. New washing powder and maybe working in that dusty shed a week or so back.. anyways its an allergic reaction manifesting in an itchy rash... I'm not sure if its the washing powder or the dust.. I found out that anti histamines get shut of it.. or help with symptoms. Tell you what though, that first couple of days was a nightmare, couldn't sleep for wanting to scratch myself senseless.. I tried not to scratch but that was even worse. I was almost tempted to run to the shed get some heavy duty sandpaper and rub myself down with that.. anyway, got some hayfever tablets, they have anti histamine in em and am on one a day.. the worst of it has cleared but I still sense something trying to break out.. In a couple of weeks I expect it to be clear.. thank god..
  21. This is what the Europeans have offered us, but more than that its the first time Parliament has been presented with the reality of Brexit going forward.. They ain't happy.. and this is the real problem. A halfway house with no voting rights or staying in and swallowing our pride.. a new referendum might be fine but I feel Parliament has had a gutfull of letting the country tell them what to do.. An election wont solve nothing as well.. be in the same boats afterwards.. and Corbyn might want to leave the EU but like May he'd be subject to the members of Parliament as much as May.. Its a choice... staying in or letting the rest of the EU tell us how its going down in the future..
  22. watched the PM's questions.. This bitch is next to useless. can't even answer a simple question without defaulting to the Maybot.. Has this lunatic not realized we want authentic answers delivered with an authentic voice.. How does she imagined Trump got elected. the fkin thick cow. I wish these 49 letters god speed as well.. get rid of the cow.. trouble is, I doubt there are 48 letters to be had. JRM has already come to the conclusion he'd be in the same boat as May.. let it be known he wont be standing for leader.. I'm sure the wrecker in chief has also come to the same conclusion.. Boris its slipped again.. There's two choices ahead of us.. this abortion May has cobbled together or staying in.. its looking more likely Parliament is gonna keep us in...
  23. Oh well I'd slept since then. I do recall it was a good run in mind... I particularly enjoyed that one..
  24. Stalked your profile, what you on about.. I saw a notification on my account a month back from you and went to investigate.. and by the way, I'm from Greater Manchester not Lancashire..
  25. You're right, I don't have a clue about quota's and how they're sold.. so what.
