  1. Very good Mark!
  2. Yeah, 300amp for the ground saw and I already have the lighter ones for the topper. €2.5k all in. Though I don’t like to talk money, rather vulgar you know.
  3. What a bizarre thing! Is that for climbers on the West coast of Canada, who need to fill up mid tree?
  4. Ooh, look at me! We’re going battery power, or dipping our toes. The new 542i has a clutch which swung it for me. So I got the back handle as a light weight ground/chipper saw. The topper is not light mind, but poky enough. With the helmet coms it should make for better work site. Got a protos as well, so maybe we’ll talk about our feelings regularly!
  5. Job recently where the loader broke down and I had to come off and get it fixed. By the time I got back to it a week or so later I was counting on getting it finished by lunchtime and onto another to make the day financially respectable. Got it all done, but client wasn’t happy about certain aspects, and tbh he had a point. I blagged it face to face and got the money. I could have done better, it wouldn’t have taken a lot to have made the whole transaction more agreeable, but I was chasing the money and an early cup of tea in my armchair. Sometimes you have to admit that to yourself.
  6. Sounds messy, lot of it about at the moment. Keep the fire hot and stay inside Stubs.
  7. Something like that perhaps..
  8. I’m starting to think I’m being mugged off here.
  9. Sometimes I don’t quote as a professional discourtesy.
  10. I agree.
  11. Sorry to hear that Stubs. Still dark here but clear sky and a bit frosty. Easy parasol pine today, should be a smooth slide into the weekend.
  12. When was that?
  13. Saw that, always seemed a decent fella, RIP
  14. Poor weather today so in the workshop today. Going to fit a flap to the roof of the chip truck to reduce overblow. Over the years (and the trucks) I have tried, and failed to find a robust, effective solution. They tend to get broken/lost. This time will be different!
  15. I see this phrase ‘drop shipping website’ a lot. What does it mean?
  16. They can’t spell what they do.
  17. Morning all. The day after a day getting wet. The good news is my gloves are dry….
  18. Now he could say he wants to save the tree under any circumstances, he could say that he wants it out but the wife likes trees etc. Or any permutation between the two and my response would be the same. So for me, it doesn’t matter what the client says.
  19. I see you have sammich, I also like sammich.
  20. Yes it would be (interesting)
  21. Been topped or lost it’s top in a storm a good few years back. I reckon the crotch would have rot in it. Seeing as there’s plenty of others of the same species, and it’s situation re. property, if I was asked to quote, I’d offer to take it out or walk away. Plenty of others may disagree.
  22. …dude.
  23. Oh, so that’s why Le Bon Coin, a French version of eBay doesn’t like me putting phone numbers in. Telling me it’s for my own security. I use FB marketplace mostly these days anyway.
  24. Was watching that on YT this morning, great song.
  25. So after winching a 1 tonne log over my last helmet, I have succumbed to the modern age.
