  2. Wordle 1,127 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟩🟩 🟨⬜⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  3. Wordle 1,126 3/6 ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟨🟨⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Impressed myself there.
  4. Carte grise then..
  5. That’s a bit of a bugger. Never heard of it, till now.
  6. Wordle 1,125 4/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜🟨⬜🟨⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Been a bit slack lately, either not doing it or intentionally doing it badly, to spite the gods of Wordle. Very like my time at school. Just goes to show, you never really grow up.
  7. Or, as they do here in France, all trailers (over 500kg) have their own log book.
  8. Couple of days of 32 degrees. Hedge removal and grinding plus other bits. Three days work. Good money on it which eases the pain a bit.
  9. near La Rochefoucauld.
  10. Mornin Stubs. 27 here this arvo. Fallen oak removal in Angoulême today. Easy enough, but a lot of trailer/chipper/loader/truck organising. Got to watch the weights and generally be mindful of the rozzers.
  11. Donnie is a legend.
  12. This what you’re after.. The mist fell softly on Donnie’s broad Celtic shoulders as he took the short walk from his highland cottage to his 4x4 (all paid up and capable of transporting him anywhere on the Scottish mainland within 2 hours) parked in front. He turned and saw Nessie, the miniature highland cattle who was looking at him from the kitchen window, he silently cursed himself for leaving the back door open, too late now though, she’d be on the sofa glued to Loose Women all morning, then flicking her bean as soon as Gino Di Campo inevitably turned up on some program. He loaded up the pick up with a range of powerful professional chainsaws, ranging from 45 to 95cc He was well used to using them for brushing, felling, road clearance and dangerous trees (certification available on request) He looked at his log splitter as he climbed in the cab, happy in the knowledge it was CE certified and road legal to tow (under certain speeds of course) But as he sped into the dreek to another day following a harvester he felt a burning deep inside (not unlike when he spilt hot porridge on his unmentionables) a desire to experience more diverse chainsaw work away from harvesting sites where there was little chance to work on being a better person. Could he find a company to achieve his ambitions? Could it be your company?

  14. Bored so stumbled across this thread from 16 years ago. Have a skim through. Does anyone think the AA have become less or more influential since the days of this thread?
  15. Winch doesn’t look like it listens to excuses.
  16. No debate really. If it gets heated just say unless he clears off you will.
  17. Bloke who gives me a hand from time to time runs this, 1989 Nissan tipper with a 2.2 diesel motor. Clean as a whistle (if a bit gutless)
  18. This is one of the things that mystified me during the tournament. A shadow of his normal self. One of his great strengths was receiving the ball high up the pitch, with his back to goal under pressure, then playing it to advancing midfielders. I did not see him do that once the whole time.
  19. That’s about the bones of it. We did at least equalise, and were unlucky not to force extra time.
  20. In a similar vein. I have been flirting with the idea of a 55hp Rayco grinder. So on FB earlier in the week the company that imports/sells them over here does an open day blurb, lots of pictures of the different models on demo etc. I reply on FB, ‘I have a 35hp one do you do trade ins?’ They reply ‘contact our email at blah blah with your address’ So I do and they reply ‘who are you, what do you want?’ I explain, and they say ‘we’ll pass your details on to your nearest dealer’ Then…..nothing. The worst salesmen in the world, cannot give your money away.

  22. Well, if you were in charge of the job on the day then I guess it was. No matter. Think of it as a very cheap lesson, two apple trees and a bit of a bollocking and you’ve learnt a lesson that’ll last you a lifetime. Impossible really to tell too much without seeing it, and I might very well have done the same, but there are things you might have done to avoid it. Winch at 90 degrees to the lay etc. At least it wasn’t a house it landed on!
  23. Wordle 1,120 2/6 🟨⬜🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 back of the net!
