  1. Think you got the decimal point wrong. 12 thousand 5 letter words in English. 4 thousand in the Merriam-Webster dictionary. If that makes sense.
  2. The mess they leave wouldn’t have pleased him either.
  3. Wordle 1,091 5/6 🟨⬜⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟨⬜🟨🟩 ⬜⬜🟨🟩🟩 🟨⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Nice work Doug!
  4. You know Mark!
  5. This thread needs a reboot.
  6. That is true, I did get off the toilet. But I didn’t cheat…..
  7. Holly Valance grrrr!
  8. The day starts when you get to the yard, and finishes when you get back to the yard, if you’re in a company van you’re at work. Everything else is bollox.
  9. Wordle 1,090 3/6 🟨⬜⬜🟨🟨 🟨⬜🟨🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Yes!!
  10. Me neither (forget the word) Got a chance on a three as well, might have to finish it when I get home.
  11. Nice hand digging anyway, lot of careful effort, you treated those roots like a Roman tiled floor. Had to be said.
  12. Wordle 1,089 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 🟨⬜⬜🟩🟨 🟩⬜⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 meh.
  13. I could/should have lit one here in SW France tonight.
  14. I watch a lot of old Top of the Pops on BBC4. I can say that the worst periods were when the Stock Aitken Waterman dominated but even worse was the rave/dance stuff of the late 90s. Don’t get me wrong, I did my share of Es and all that, but the music was crap (if you’re not off your tits) and made popular music largely unlistenable. I will not be taking questions on this.
  15. Cut it and smell it, then look at what’s nearby.
  16. Wordle 1,088 3/6 🟩⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Very nearly blew a three with a less likely alternative word. Showed some rare patience and maturity. Never too late!
  17. Wordle 1,087 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜🟨🟨 ⬜🟩🟨⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟨⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Couldn’t get anywhere this morning, back this afternoon et voila!
  18. Got a grinding job next two days, 7 big Douglas stumps, lots to take away. Got lucky and found four new Rayco super teeth yesterday (the straight ones that take the brunt of the punishment) At least it’s dry for the foreseeable.
  19. JFC Chris! Give us some respite from your sordid lifestyle.
  20. Wordle 1,086 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Its boring when you get lucky early on.
  21. Alright, strictly speaking it’s summer. But look at this field of wheat, herbicide error and the poppies just take over.
  22. Some understanding of how it works certainly helps. I have worked with professional tree workers for whom a chipper is just a magic box where wood goes in, chip comes out. What happens in between is of zero interest.
  23. Maybe these go-getters don’t want to hang about with you? Maybe they’re at go-getter meetings and they’re saying to each other ‘That Swinny, he’s draining me of my positive energy for his own purposes’ It could happen.. (huge if true!)
  24. Wordle 1,085 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜🟩🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Happy.
