  1. Yes I have, might sell, never use it now.
  2. Ha ha, never a day goes by without the moleys coming out for something.
  3. Used mine a lot before I got the tractor. Can load cord quickly without moving just by using the slew. This thumb is hydraulic.
  4. I imagine the factory are all tooled up for knocking out 230s.
  5. €400 Worth of tyre from the compact tractor decided it had enough yesterday, leaving us to handball tonnes of cord. Goddammit!
  6. So do I, he's very watchable, and listenable. A couple of women on it would be no bad thing either.
  7. I'm sure there is, and it's filled with threads like this. 1; Moaning about being undercut by immigrants. 2; "I'm 65 and want to become a prostitute, am I to old?" 3; The use of one hand, is it ever acceptable? 4; Should I have to post flyers if the client finishes early?
  8. I'd have ignored him, or tried to. Who needs a punch up?
  9. No tea/coffee. That's not me btw. We're having a break now so he's gone inside. As soon as the machine starts he'll be out there, a spectre at our shoulders.
  10. Now, don't get me wrong, it's their privilege, they're paying after all. I can understand when we're up a tree doing something exciting. Or at the beginning of a grinding job to see how it works. This guy however..... We spent a couple of days taking out a hedge all the way round his garden, he stood there alongside us, watching the whole time. Now we going back to do maybe 200 little stumps and he's out there every single minute.
  11. So he changed his mind, big deal! It's a TV program me not an important political stance. I've always admired the way he will step out of his comfort zone. Good luck to him. I'd stopped watching because I was fed up with the format. I'll give it a go now.
  12. You win some, you lose some. Tbh I don't really want a response if they don't want me to do it (I'll only chase if it's a complex quote or I went a long way out of my way) I assume I was too expensive or they just don't like me. Or, as happened on one Sunday morning after a heavy session and the clocks had changed, they weren't impressed with me falling over on their lawn, clearly still drunk.
  13. I didn't mind it because you explained that you effed it up (in a nice and honest way) But at the end of the day you did cock it up so it's likely you would be liable for some stick. sometimes in "forum world" the first few posts of a thread can set a sort of precedent. I would not have put it up myself for just that reason. Not of course that I have EVER made a mistake!:elefant:
  14. And I bought a Land Rover! Who'd have thought it. Say hi to Naomi
  15. I can't remember what I paid you Simon. It was more than a decade ago mind. You were/are very good at reductions, But a bit high maintenence:001_smile:
  16. I'll watch it because you're on it! Well done. On another note what is Countryfile these days? They seen to have run out of things to talk about. Most of it has very little to do with the countryside and farming. It just seems to have lost its way. I used to like Springwatch but there's only so many owl chicks you can marvel at. At least they didn't have rutting stags on the isle of mull, that drove me crazy with boredom.
  17. There is still a Woods garden machinery place in Warnham.
  18. KewlShirt? Evaporative Cooling Tank Top | TUK SHOP Cool Vest for Heat Stress Relief, Motorcycle Cooling Vest: Veskimo Personal Cooling Systems The yanks who work in much worse heat and humidity than us temperate sorts swear by this sort of thing.
  19. Plus you can be a brilliant rigger, ace at reductions and good with clients but if your flyer delivery is inadequate, it could cost you a lot of work.
  20. Morning. I have to admit I had not thought of eels! I'll check the cupboard see if I've any I've forgotten about. I reckon the best plan would be to go down there and dig down to remove a few metres of silt, but I don't mind climbing up a great big tree, no way I'm lowering myself down a hole, it's a good 10 Mtrs to the water. Might find some hidden wartime gold though.
