  1. Maybe think about making the chippers a bit lighter...............joking...joking.
  2. "Bought the missus the back handle"................one way of putting it!
  3. Is it oiling? I've read of problems with the oiler. (Did you put oil in it?)
  4. Anyway, don't worry about the climbing thing, keep your hand in with some reccy climbs, but tell someone where you are or don't do it alone. I used to find a tree with a reasonable spread, anchor in and go the the end (or as close as I could reach comfortably) of every branch to improve my route management. There was no hurry, took as long as I liked. You'll be fine.
  5. I don't know what my ropes are "called" either, or my boots.
  6. I meant with saws actually doing the job earning a few quid which this kid appears to be doing. Not dissing your kids of course.
  7. Actually I think you may well be the first climbing member on here born in the 21st century.
  8. Does take a while depending on your connection. Tell us about your climbing set up.....
  9. Has to be the only 16 year old I've heard of who needs help on a computer from wrinklies.
  10. Smart dogs those collies. Took a walk along an old railway line with Charlie whilst the employee was grinding.
  11. Nice looking truck Blades. Mine has been in the garage for too long after my poor driving incident. Here's a picture of it to cheer me up, it's back next Friday, huzzah!
  12. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Say ibrahimovic comes to Manchester (city or United) and earns 200k a week for a two year contract. He will pay at least half in income tax, approximately 10 million in tax straight into the exchequer.
  13. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/87609-stihl-1106-thread-contra-070-090-a.html This should help.
  14. Didn't know that, here in France my Stihl franchise has a full range of Jonsereds strangely.
  15. Good stuff, as usual. Was that drumming on the stump out of boredom?
  16. Why do you ask? They're freely available in Europe, or have you seen them dirt cheap over there?
  17. Man dies after crash involving digger near Rutherglen - BBC News Bbc website.
  18. Cs2253 according to the test, same engine.
  19. Oh don't mind me, just playing silly buggers on the two threads. Two threads, one useful trunk, one nice one...... I'll get me coat..
  20. If that was nice, I'd be all over it, pity!
  21. Shame! I was looking for one like that only a bit more useful.
  22. Interesting but not surprising, very little to chose between the big two (and a Johnny red) and the Echo not quite there but a good deal of money saved. I've got a 550 btw
  23. Yep, "it's got two chances" as I often say (thereby absolving myself of any blame)
  24. Close one today, put a line up this lime for felling, tensioned it with the tractor. All seeming to be well I put in the gob, I was just starting the back cut and heard some cracking, I dumped the saw and hightailed it out of there, in exactly the spot I was this branch landed with a thump. More tension than was needed it seems!
