  1. Yes Gary, I won't put Cersie Lannister's walk of shame up for that reason, but it was brilliant. Lena Headly, great actress.
  2. Then you been missing out on Jon Snow! That's the great thing about it, it doesn't follow a formula, you don't know what's going to happen, no one is safe.
  3. The Red Viper gets a bit cocky with The Mountain.
  4. I have watched a lot of telly in my time, GOT is the best series I've ever seen. I'm not normally a fan of swords and sandals stuff but it's consistently brilliant. last nights episode was epic. Here's my favourite character in my favourite scene, but I could have had The Night King raising the dead or the Battle of the Bastards. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KtCsmSMRiC0 What's yours? They're all a click away on YouTube.
  5. Too wordy, too busy, too much repetition, 100 meter high conifers? just my opinion of course, no offence intended.
  6. Nice looking job Steve. Every time I work near water be it a lake or river, I think of the scene from this film I watched as a child. Brief clip at 1.55
  7. I have never (to my knowledge) had a tick on me or had Lymes disease though it seems it's not uncommon in the tree biz. I've seen them , on my dogs and my ferrets, never on me though. Are they the same sort of ticks? I was under the impression they couldn't live off our blood. What are the risks? And does anyone on here have any experience of this?
  8. Sounds like the beech will have to go. Will they fall on anything? If the answer is yes take it out, and get the digger in, if no get the digger in and if they die they die. (or Bob's machine above)
  9. Give us what tree it is, proximity to the pipe etc, a photo would be good.
  10. I discovered it by accident, was doing a conny hedge, hundreds of 2" cuts, half way though I thought to myself "my battery should be empty by now" and it was half full. I had pressed the e button without knowing it. In those situations, no requirement for fast cutting i.e. All stems were vertical, softish wood it can help.
  11. I have three batteries, which will get me through most days, but, and it's a big but, it's only on specific jobs (and wood) there's not enough poke to power through hard wood consistently. I have no other units but I think the hedge cutter might be nice for light trimming. Would I buy another Husky? Yes, but you have to choose early because of course the batteries aren't interchangeable between the marques.
  12. I have the top handle husky. The rear handle is essentially the same. one thing you may find useful is the economy setting, slower chain speed but longer battery life. The bar and chain are very fragile so under pressure hazel stems could make short work of them.
  13. Not horse flies but turned up yesterday to be informed by the client that there was a bees nest in the tree. All the gear and guys there so no chance of delaying it. Thanks! Stung three times, once near the eye so look like Mickey Rourke on one side. Not really painful though.
  14. If I'm honest it's mostly the wife's doing, we do rotate though, she keeps a diary to ensure it. The biggest thing we've discovered lately is growing the tatties in the wood chip pile. Don't use the new stuff though, only the two year old stuff.
  15. All going rather swimmingly here, no extended dry spells have meant we've avoided the chore of nightly watering.
  16. We all look forward to that happy day Joe.
  17. It was those pictures that inspired it really Rich. spotted a couple today, I'll snap 'em tomorrow.
  18. I'm only playing around, trying (unsuccessfully) to load a GIF. I tell you what, why don't you try and work things out for yourself a bit instead of storming around bleating how "I can't do this or that"
  19. https://www.google.fr/search?q=child+having+tantrum+gif&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-fr&client=safari#imgrc=MwoWZJ268upLPM:
  20. So, it's time we celebrated the ephemeral beauty of a dead/dying tree. Lots of dead/dying mature chestnuts here, nobody's going to deadwood or monolith them so they stand, bleached ghosts. I think they look great, here's one near Ruffec I snapped on the way to price a job. Let's see yours, no coronet cuts, no man made monoliths, untouched by human hand only.
  21. Not really, I'm not saying I want to watch 30mins of it, but 45 seconds or thereabouts of your machine would be interesting.
  22. Nice, but I'd rather have seen the mog eat them.
  23. What's a "cache" when it's at home? (Re. The sticky about being logged out)
