  1. I’ve hatracked a good few, they came back ok, vigorous even. Not very aesthetically pleasing, but if I can’t see it from my house.......
  2. More importantly didn’t anyone have a clipboard and a hi viz? Did you all have a meeting beforehand to establish goals and foster team spirit? Afterwards did you role play possible scenarios to ensure it was LGBT compliant?
  3. You would say that wouldn’t you! Anyway there are many factors at play, how stretched you are debt wise, children, mortgage etc. If in in the event of an accident you were able to cover these things with savings, spousal earnings or having employees do the work then it might not be value for money.
  4. Yeah, that’ll do it. Looks like a sledgehammer head.
  5. If I was in the UK with all the stump grinding contractors with their super duper machines I’d probably get a HB20 that can go on the back of the truck for the small/medium stuff and sub the rest out.
  6. I started off getting another guy in to do all my stumps on a Saturday, it worked really well, everybody made money. Disadvantages can be, you have to go back to the job with the guy, whereas very often if you have your own you can rattle the job off in a day. You’re bringing a third party in to your job site, usually fine of course, but there’s always that doubt. (If you bust a pipe or a fibreoptic whose insurance pays out?) You don’t get to keep all that lovely money!
  7. I bought a grinder as soon as I could afford one, never regret it. It’s important to sell the grinding when you quote the tree or after the tree has just been felled/removed. A lot of peeps don’t consider it until it’s mentioned.
  8. Well according to my welder it’s the build up of heated gases that make it dangerous. A little bit of research on t’internet showed he had a point, it wasn’t worth the risk and cost nothing extra as he just put a ‘t’ on his argon tank.
  9. Easy enough to get to and reweld?
  10. 14? And he’s going to pack In his job and work in a Canadian bar? Some mistake surely?
  11. You have my sympathy re. your son. If he’s smart, doesn’t overdo the drugs and booze I’m sure he’ll find his way. Try to ensure he’s always working, no matter how menial the job. Young men need to work. Good luck
  12. When I was 18 I naturally assumed that the world (recognising my inate brilliance) would beat a path to my door offering all sorts of opportunities. I realised that they weren’t coming when I reached 30 and had to make some choices.
  13. I’m on the sofa with a cup of tea by 3. I get to drive a 4wd with off-road tyres. I am a picture of primitive magnificence when naked. Chicks dig scars. Not forgetting....
  14. I’d be interested to hear proof that the lack of education for gypsy children is not a problem created and propogated by their parents.
  15. All good here, very wet spring has saved on watering, well into the new potatoes now.
  16. Ask him if it loses its needles in winter, if so...
  17. I nearly went for the Giant wheeled skid steer, would still fancy one as you can put it in the back of the transit every day.
  18. The last few minutes of the Germany S.Korea match will live long in my memory that’s for sure. VAR has it’s best moment yet for the first SK goal, then Neuer’s comical foray upfield.
  19. This may help... (I know I posted it before but sorry.....not sorry)
