It depends on what you want, if you just want to turn a coin I'd say its entirely possible. If you want to attain any real high standard of climbing, its too late IMO -

the core inside definitely tapers at that point..... the Y is still the widest part, then the bury beyond, then the normal diameter, so everything else normal.

The side to the left is the bury.

In a couple of recent practice double braids, ive noticed that the core seems to be missing/reduced on the side of the eye which remains intact, I.e the opposite side to the bury. whats gone wrong?

Latest Installment of the continually patched kantgo. Has now become hesitant to start, tested glow plugs which showed some not working, all 4 changed.....no improvement. Read about know problems with Cranshaft TDC sensor, removed and cleaned.......no improvement. Is now hesitant to start with engine problem light flashing occasionally, always starts eventually though.....Battery fine. ECU? I'm about to go all basil fawlty on it!

Quick update, Ive been to look at a couple of pieces of land this week, including the one mentioned above. Both involved a 'right of passage' which was more than 1km long through farmers fields etc, so in short a no go, The search continues.

It wont be an every day yard, more like once a week or less. Its actually quite a way from where I live but smack bang in the middle of my work area. It will serve more as a way of getting rid of chip as and when I have it, currently I have to pay 50€ per tonne to have it removed, or find willing people which is a ball ache. As such it wont be 'officially' be a yard, but would be very private with no real neighbors.
