  1. No “poof button”, (decomp button), so no use for me !
  2. Another vote for rapeseed oil.
  3. thats the spirit ! Can never have too many saws.
  4. Especially for the rural elderly. My wife and I are going to try our best to look out for the 2 elderly folks near by who are locked up for the next 3 months. Remember folks little acts of kindness improve your mental health too, lets all look out for each other over the next few months, everyone has got some skill set that is going to be useful to someone, and stay safe doing it.
  5. I'm planning to drop a load off at my elderly neighbour (86) on Saturday, have arranged she will leave the garage door open and I'll just dump them on the floor for her. I usually stack them and fill her coal buckets and other stuff but she adamant this is all she'll need.
  6. My first car was a ford fiest popular with a 950cc engine in red, well it was supposed to be red but most of the panels and doors had been replaced or touched up with filler and spray paint so could go from a dusky pink to maroon depending on the light. You could double its value by putin petrol in it, 3 star only mind.
  7. I’ve been using pound shop work gloves with the saw for years, trousers, boots, lid, visor and cans are much more important. What you save on glove invest in the best PPE you can get.
  8. The case was in Scotland and well reported. Stay calm and carry on.
  9. 54 and he had advanced motor neurone disease
  10. Correct Stere children do get it but they seem to get better quickly, adults are at risk if they are elderly and have major other medical problems especially respiratory. im not saying this isn’t a major public health issue just we all need to be calm and follow sensible guidelines.
  11. I’m a consultant in my local hospital an the only deaths we have had are in elderly people with significant other major medical problems.
  12. Sorry for being a bit derogatory but as a doctor getting sick of the doomsayers
  13. As an nhs doctor we have only seen adult deaths with significant co morbidities so this isn’t fckinn idiotic just fact. Please only comment when you are being negative and not in full grasp of facts.
  14. Let’s all man up and look after each other and stop winding each other up with bullshit
  15. Children’s aren’t in danger from this virus please don’t try to over emotionalise this shitstorm
  16. I’ve done more this year than ever going to go at it hammer and tongs over the better weather and see how next year pans out. Fuel is likely to go up with th fall in the pound so locally people might light their fires more. Just a hunch no evidence to back it up but if it comes to the worst I can burn the bloody logs myself !
  17. My secretary’s husband lost his job today at a local car rental place, got a new one this afternoon in Aldi filling shelves. Moral : them that wants to work will always find it ! We need a bit of Dunkirk spirit !
  18. I was 18 and just learning how to drink !
  19. Did it cut better when you turned the chain round ?? I agree about the electric saw, in years to come they will become the norm.
  20. Went to the supermarket to get some food for tea. Looks like we’re having lightbulb and printer cartridge soup !
  21. Tidy !
  22. A folding 4.10 my dad always said that was a poachers gun !!
  23. Aye like how many drinks is a good night ? Just one more !
  24. As Sir Winston Churchill said " keep calm and carry on". Along with " action this day", so could all the worried well get on with life and maybe take care of your elderly and vulnerable like good kind human beings, instead of panic buying bog roll and pasta.
  25. Yeah your right, the 365 is a beast cross cutting the big wind blown larch that i mostly do, can be a bit heavy snedding tho. I suppose there isnt such a thing as a perfect saw just the most appropriate for the job from the selection available to you. Once the 440 finally goes i was thinking of a 435to replace it but getting more and more tempted by battery as time goes on.
