  1. Just bought and fitted the Stovax Stockton 5 wide for home. Really pleased with it.
  2. Our workshop here is separate to our main building and we use a plug in 32amp heater. It doesn't really heat the area until about 4pm after being on since 8am. We have priced up air con and it is pretty reasonable. We should be able to get the workshop up to temperature quickly but also in the summer cool the area from mid 30's to a reasonable 20 odd. You can get air con units that'll service a double garage space for a few hundred quid. Worth looking into.
  3. This is common on belt v hydraulic anything. An outfront ride on flail or rotary deck will perform better being belt driven over hydraulic unless the hydraulic has a lot more hp behind it. The upside of hydraulic driven stuff is it's generally less maintenance with no belts, bearings or pulleys to tension or maintain. From a build quality point of view FSI is in another league compared to the American or eastern European grinders.

    D-Max

HI Pete, we had it done. By Isuzu main dealer and supported by their warranty.
  5. When it cuts out does the RDS screen go off? When it does cut out is it instant?

    D-Max

We have a 1.9 Dmax, bought new in 2021 and has done 50 odd k now without a fault. We tow wood chippers and can be pulling in the region of 3T when towing a tracked one with a plant trailer. Our salesman said it felt a little under powered on some of the hills when heavy towing. But to be honest I expect most pick ups do being under 200hp. On the last service we had the approved Isuzu remap done by the Isuzu dealership. MPG is a little better however I think we have only towed road tows up to around 1tonne since.
  7. 90% of Discovery's have been converted from 2 seat with bulkhead to a family car with rear seats. Have a look on eBay at Discovery Commercials.
  8. Not every. A pick up has to have a rear payload of 1tonne for it to be classed as commercial and to get the tax benefits.
  9. Is that a universal inline filter fitted there? If so, its the wrong style.
  10. There is a 90 degree fuel filter in the outlet of the fuel tank. It isn't visible and you need to remove the tank to change it. Although popping the tank off is a 1 min job and there is a fuel tap also. We keep them in stock 01380 828863 / www.gagroundcare.com
  11. We can supply a lightly used TP270. It has done about 30 hours!
  12. And save a few grand!
  13. The problem I see (and happy to be corrected) regarding small chippers on tracks is that something pedestrian moved is generally more manoeuvrable than something on tracks, shunting it around a customers lawn for example. If you had to get say the length of a football pitch I bet I could get there quicker pushing a CS100 than tracking a gravity fed style tracked unit. Obviously they come into their own on tougher, wet, boggy, steep ground where pushing is an issue. However if its a big job then you'd want a proper tracked hydraulic fed wood chipper on site. So really, the tracked gravity fed wood chippers which there are plenty of manufacturers offering only have an advantage if you're in boggy ground with narrow access? Pretty niche situation for the money spent?
  14. Re tank cleaning, has it been fully drained, cleaned, dried and refilled with good diesel? Majority of engine issues are fuel related. Those Kubota units give very little trouble.
  15. Which model EVO are you looking at? Petrol or diesel? Built well, will match the performance of the competition, get one out on demo and see for yourself
  16. THIS ADVERT HAS EXPIRED!

  17. If its an older Jensen with the forward reverse on the stop bar this won't be the case. Can the OP get some photos of the forward / reverse valve block and operator controls?
  18. Try out the GreenMech EVO 165 Diesel, Weighing in just over a tonne it's built like a beast for a 6.5" chipper. Get the TimberWolf and GreenMech dealer to bring them out on the same day or same time!
  19. Don't run it with the flywheel housing open!! Would check hydraulic pump belt tension, is there a speed valve fitted? Probably located on the forward / reverse valve block. If so, is it seized? If it turns is it actually turning inside or just the plastic metal cover? Hydraulic oil level, hydraulic oil condition? If the stop bar activates the rollers forwards and reverse, remove the rod between the valve block and the stop bar. Then operate the forward / reverse directly at the valve block? There is three detent positions, reverse, forwards and stop. These three positions should feed nice and positive and not sloppy. If it works fine testing at the valve block your problem is on the connecting rod. There is a ball bearing that slides across a knuckle. This knuckle can wear and the detent be between positions causing slow rollers. Elmstar are down in Newton Abbott. They know Jensen products well.
  20. Funny you say that, just assembled a V8 actually! 305hp should sort the job out...
  21. Mother Gaia. She's a dab hand at EFI.
  22. Believe it is heading back to the mothership.
  23. Sorry, only just saw this. Show was pretty quiet however we got a few leads, couple of demonstrations to do and possibly sold a new PTO machine. It did help that our premises is only 45 mins from the show ground, therefore knew quite a few end users walking around. A few exhibitors who had travelled across the country were not very happy at all. Poor advertising in advance for the show itself and £17 a pop to get in doesn't help. We would rather be charged a little more for our stand and it be free to enter...
  24. Are you completely sure the docs you signed are the what you were quoted? Was there a part exchange involved? Very unlikely for the finance bank to just forget. Usually the deposit is taken within a week of signing the documents.
  25. Confor kit prep this afternoon in our workshops...
