Not had the bill yet from GreenMech yet... Probably in for £1500-£2,000 or so for all the panel work, chassis, infeed hopper etc. Having the wheels redone silver also. It’s the labour involved that’s the big part. You’re looking 40 or so man hours to strip and re assemble. This machine has now sold! It’s being delivered to its new home next week. -

Timberwolf 150 radiator replacement or repair
GA Groundcare replied to Treemendous123's topic in Maintenance help
From our experience with recore radiators they will do metal "capped" ones, but not plastic. A new radiator through a Kubota engine dealer is usually about £600 odd ex vat. -
Generally this is down to worn out shocks.

Greenmech arbtrak 200 rollers not working
GA Groundcare replied to windswept's topic in Maintenance help
More info please. Does reverse work ok? What are your flywheel revs saying on the RDS screen? Alternator belt tight? intermittent? You mean they’ll work one hour and not the next? Or they’re stop start multiple times in a few seconds? Check out the red buttons, inside each is a switch. Test continuity in the switches. Check for water in the harness bulgin plug under the hopper. How have you checked the solenoids? Are you getting 12v at the forward hirschmann plug all the time? Even when the rollers stop working ? If so your forward coil is breaking down. If the forward coil is split down the plastic body it’ll be knackered. Replacement coil is about £85 + vat. We have them in stock. -
Depending what stress control system that machine is running you might be able to bypass the stress control by looping in the two bullet connector wires. If the feed rollers work ok with it plugged in just that the stress control doesn't then function it'll be an issue with either the stress control box or speed sensor. If it has the old grey type stress box with the built in speed sensor the control box is obsolete. However the speed sensor can be removed from the control box and is still obtainable from RS Supplies. There is a conversion kit available from TW to upgrade the old control box to a later one with separate speed sensor. TimberWolf are always pretty helpful on the phone.

Don't think it will be stop bar switch as the rollers wouldn't restart on their own. To activate the feed rollers you need 12v to the forward hirschmann plug. Check to see whether you are getting a 'smooth' 12v at the forward side, or if you are getting it intermittently which matches the stop start of your rollers. If the 12v feed is continuous it could well be the solenoid coil playing up. If you are able to remove it from the valve block shaft swap it over with the reverse side. You can also swap the forward & reverse hirschmann plugs over, operate the forward switch to make the rollers go backwards. And the reverse switch to make the rollers go forwards. See if you can get the problem to move. Continuity test the switches up in the control box, could well be the forward switch inside not latching.

Yes, we sold a new Isuzu sump the other week as this had happened. We also had a 15-23 in the workshop recently with a porous sump. Engine out job as you say. However, it is relatively easy to whip the whole unit out as one. -

There was a cheapish one on eBay down in Cornwall recently. Sometimes however, the purchase price is the thin end of the wedge! This machine will be for sale when completed. Great, glad she is serving you well! -

SafeTrak 19-28 MK2 went Kubota in around 2010. The 19-28 road tow stayed Isuzu up until production stopped a couple of years ago. In some respects the 19-28 road tow never went "mk2". It just kept up with the legislation changes. -

Engine unit on the deck. Service, cleaning and inspections to be carried out. Flywheel on the bench, front bearing had to be cut off. Flywheel will be checked over, repainted black, fitted with genuine new blades and bearings. -
We refurbish quite a few GreenMech wood chippers. We thought it would be interesting to document the work being carried out on this machine and its forthcoming journey (mainly with pictures). A 2015 Arborist 19-28 with in the region of 900 hours on the clock. Washed off and in our yard awaiting strip down. It was in a working condition. Isuzu 50hp engine in good health. Infeed hopper off, flywheel upper housing off, discharge chute off, engine panels off. Welder out aiding some snapped off bolts... Engine out, flywheel out, hydraulics and feed rollers removed. Just down to a rolling chassis. Forklift drafted in, axle off. A frame pins currently seized in. A frame removed and on its way for a wash. Quick pressure wash off of panel work before everything being dipped, shot blasted and powder coated in original GreenMech green (RAL 6018)
