  1. That transit wont be that much. Our L2 H2 Transit Custom is 2,600kg max. That's pretty much with an empty van.... Either way, the setup is massively over ?. To the untrained eye at a glance it doesn't look hugely out of place unless you know what weight diggers just by looking.
  2. Very true, it doesn't! Need to be caught red handed then with it physically in the tank...
  3. Was always under the impression once red has been used it stains the system for "life" I have been dipped for red diesel once which was about 8 years ago now. A VOSA pull in setup off the M27 at the services. Vehicle came down the slip way and overtook me, slowed down infront and put its follow me sign on... They checked the trailer wasn't stolen, new machine on the back wasn't stolen, checked my truck & load around, checked my fuel, asked if I had a tacho then sent me on my way...
  4. What happens when you buy a used vehicle and you've only used white but the previous owner has chucked red in it?
  5. It leaked last summer, i tightened the nuts that hold the filter housing on and all was good until now. I havent noticed a significant leak until today, but i suppose it could have been weeping a bit and i didnt notice. Will get a new filter ordered. If you don’t know of one being replaced on it. Probably worth replacing it anyway. We should have one in stock. Can post it tomorrow.
  6. Assuming thats the bigger filter under the big red cap, it appears clean as a whistle That’s it. Possibly struggling to allow the oil to filter back through to the tank. 500 hour change interval from memory. Has it been fine and literally just started leaking oil?
  7. Get white right and you’ll be able to reduce your prices ?
  8. What about with the return filter taken out to trial?
  9. If folk are already having red diesel nicked from their yards. Imagine the theft on farm yard tanked white diesel!
  10. Depending on chassis for rot, transfer box wear and the other usual TD5 Defender check points, probably in the ballpark of 10k. Perhaps more if the chassis & running gear is mint. There is a few Facebook for sale pages you could list it on should you wish to sell. Treebay, Arb Trucks and then a couple of specific LR ones that would probably generate decent interest.
  11. In regards to buying or mechanically?
  12. What is the mileage / year? When you say the engine isn't standard now what has been done to it? Should be able to see 200hp without much issue.
  13. Whilst you can re seal a motor. You'll find in most cases it'll only last a short period of time and then be back to square one. I don't think they are very expensive, Spectrum Plant will have them listed on their web shop.
  14. Put Toyo Open Country's on our D-Max. Ruined it really with the noise. Put BFG AT on the Defender and its good in the fields and good on the road. As folk have said. 100k isn't uncommon.
  15. We just buy our service vans adblue from the local ag supplier. I have never seen different grade options on offer even on a garage forecourt?
  16. Speak with Kilworth Machinery. Or Jas P Wilson.
  17. Just get a little tacho meter that wraps around the HT lead. Simple fit.
  18. 1,000kg on the road tow.
  19. I don’t think GreenMech used to. But you look at the numbers of ST6 chippers sold in the past 6 years and there is now a market for a heavyweight 6” trailed machine.
  20. On testing from what we have seen the standard EVO 165 26hp easily matches and in some areas out performs the 34hp TW230 & ST6.... Its mainly down to the feed roller location & flywheel design. The flywheel weighs in the region of 110kg (For reference that's twice an Arb 150). Its design allows the chip to be properly thrown whereas the older GreenMechs & TimberWolfs used the air flow to discharge the chip... (ala Vortex) The new "9 o'clock" feed roller position on the EVO over the old conventional 6 o'clock on chippers allows for less recycling of the chip before its discharged. On conventional chippers with a standard 6 o'clock setup getting uncut material in at the bottom and exiting on an anti clockwise flywheel at 12-1 o'clock without the chip going around again can be difficult. The aim of the game is obviously the quicker you can get rid of it, the quicker the machine can take its next bite giving a higher throughput. With the EVO and its 9 o'clock setup it presents the wood earlier into the flywheel giving it the ability to discharge its chip better without recycling it first.. Now add a turbo charged +20hp engine with more torque to that standard 26hp EVO.... ? We would be well up for having a shoot out day at our place. Bring your ST6, TW230 etc etc along and put it up against the EVO 165 26hp & 45hp machines.....
  21. PDF spec sheet on the GreenMech EVO 165 45hp. The limited edition model is easily recognisable by its red grills... With 45hp at the helm, featuring the awesome new flywheel design and new feed roller location of the standard EVO models. This is the ultimate 6" high performance wood chipper. 22. Lovely!!! ?
  23. True. Government wanting cleaner diesels on the roads and manufactures trying to achieve such... I remember watching David Cameron making a speech on the scrappage scheme a handful of years back, getting these "high polluting" old cars off the road and into new modern vehicles... Turns out mrs miggins pottering around town happy in her old 1.3 petrol Fiesta who got sold the scheme was probably more environmentally friendly before. Now she's got DPF / adblue issues as she doesn't really drive anywhere....
  24. We would be up for doing a video but don't have 45hp & 26hp here. Hopefully @Pete B will be able to get something arranged...
  25. Safe to say vehicle manufactures have royally fucked up modern diesel engines... The late 90's was the era for diesels.. Mechanical, fairly refined, offering half decent performance and also running for ever and a day.
