  1. 1,000kg on the road tow.
  2. I don’t think GreenMech used to. But you look at the numbers of ST6 chippers sold in the past 6 years and there is now a market for a heavyweight 6” trailed machine.
  3. On testing from what we have seen the standard EVO 165 26hp easily matches and in some areas out performs the 34hp TW230 & ST6.... Its mainly down to the feed roller location & flywheel design. The flywheel weighs in the region of 110kg (For reference that's twice an Arb 150). Its design allows the chip to be properly thrown whereas the older GreenMechs & TimberWolfs used the air flow to discharge the chip... (ala Vortex) The new "9 o'clock" feed roller position on the EVO over the old conventional 6 o'clock on chippers allows for less recycling of the chip before its discharged. On conventional chippers with a standard 6 o'clock setup getting uncut material in at the bottom and exiting on an anti clockwise flywheel at 12-1 o'clock without the chip going around again can be difficult. The aim of the game is obviously the quicker you can get rid of it, the quicker the machine can take its next bite giving a higher throughput. With the EVO and its 9 o'clock setup it presents the wood earlier into the flywheel giving it the ability to discharge its chip better without recycling it first.. Now add a turbo charged +20hp engine with more torque to that standard 26hp EVO.... ? We would be well up for having a shoot out day at our place. Bring your ST6, TW230 etc etc along and put it up against the EVO 165 26hp & 45hp machines.....
  4. PDF spec sheet on the GreenMech EVO 165 45hp. The limited edition model is easily recognisable by its red grills... With 45hp at the helm, featuring the awesome new flywheel design and new feed roller location of the standard EVO models. This is the ultimate 6" high performance wood chipper. 5. Lovely!!! ?
  6. True. Government wanting cleaner diesels on the roads and manufactures trying to achieve such... I remember watching David Cameron making a speech on the scrappage scheme a handful of years back, getting these "high polluting" old cars off the road and into new modern vehicles... Turns out mrs miggins pottering around town happy in her old 1.3 petrol Fiesta who got sold the scheme was probably more environmentally friendly before. Now she's got DPF / adblue issues as she doesn't really drive anywhere....
  7. We would be up for doing a video but don't have 45hp & 26hp here. Hopefully @Pete B will be able to get something arranged...
  8. Safe to say vehicle manufactures have royally fucked up modern diesel engines... The late 90's was the era for diesels.. Mechanical, fairly refined, offering half decent performance and also running for ever and a day.
  9. It hasn't? The EVO 165 45 & 26 is the same.
  10. Time will tell...
  11. Current retail price is £17,750 on the 165 /26hp road tow ex vat with a price rise coming March.
  12. @Pete B Any chance of getting some under bonnet snaps on the turbo powerplant ?!
  13. RRP is currently £22,650 with a 3% increase in March. The £20,530 on the EVO 165 45HP is fixed until engine supply runs out.
  14. Having those three machines side by side, an EVO 165 26hp, EVO 165 45hp and Arborist 200 the EVO 45 has a quicker throughput on 5-6” material than the Arb 200 due to the awesome new flywheel design, new feed roller positioning (EVO feed rollers sit at 9 o’clock whereas the Arb range sit at 6 o’clock) and it also recycles the chip less. Getting the old chipped material out quicker means being able to get the new material in quicker. If you are after a 6.5” heavyweight machine, say Forst ST6 or similar you can now get a 45hp turbo version of the EVO 165! While stocks last....
  15. A video I took a week ago of the EVO 165 45hp. IMG_0948.MOV
  16. When you say it seems to have no compression, what has brought you to thinking that? Is it a pull start?
  17. Just watch out for the famous K series head gasket issues if going for an older Freelander petrol...
  18. If you get stuck, we are a chipper dealer and only based down the road in Devizes. We could look at the issue for you. Thanks.
  19. No doubt electric chippers will come, with that motor, battery pack, wiring etc etc you would be adding some serious costing to a 6" chipper. Manufactures have enough on their plates at the moment, bringing new models out, re designing existing models to meet new legislations etc let alone building an electric one for a market that currently isn't there (TP have proved that with the 175E) Driving around most of the day in a diesel polluting transit then using an electric chipper for 1-2 hours of said day does seem a little backwards... The next 5 years will be interesting though with innovation. The Dyson project being abandoned and not picked up by a major manufacture shows something I feel and definitely is a global set back. The Arb / Groundcare industry is generally 10 years behind the automotive and Ag industry.
  20. I hope you’ve not designed and built an electric chipper over the weekend ?
  21. Certainly, if it is that we will give you one...
  22. It should not be doing that. Looking at your photo the purchase was a second hand unit. Where are you located? First things to check. Air filter, is it blocked causing the engine to be running lean? Exhaust silencer itself blocked up? Are fumes exiting as you would expect? What spark plugs are fitted? is it over fuelling and running too rich? Any smoke?
  23. Will be there, most likely working on the GreenMech stand...
  24. 34hp? Not even close my friend...
