  1. We are going to the factory tomorrow and shall see it / use it...
  2. How long are you going to tease them for PeteB?!
  3. We know the announcement that Pete is going to be making (we think) and its going to be quite something...
  4. I thought it had been a bit quiet on the Peruzzo TB100 promoting front! Will miss the entertainment from E4I and @Pete B ...
  5. CM220. An old model now, not in the price book any longer but still available to order. (Assumably until they run out of Isuzu engines)
  6. I expect farmers don't believe a 1900cc engine can be up to the job. Hill starts in my old 2.5 with a SafeTrak on the back was hard work. But then its no better in my Puma Defender.
  7. Sounds a worthy contact. What do they trade as? Is that their main business manufacturing blades, teeth and such like?
  8. Had a Trooper back in the day, then a Rodeo then two D-Max and experienced nothing but reliability in all of them. Isuzu would be my go to pick up. Not had 1.9 but we have customers running them. Recon it goes and tows better than the 2.5 with decent gear ratios to match.
  9. Is that a proper business that's turning them out? As for £12 the cost of materials, machinery and the guys time he cannot make any money. Or is it more of a cash in hand, beer tokens for an employed guy?
  10. CS 100 blades are £90 each at retail for reference.
  11. Really what you need to do is if your engine is still running now is measure the RPM of the drum now and again once you've fitted a new engine. Going for the same size pulley is a starting point, but if the new engine revs 500rpm more than the old engine the machine might fancy self destructing...
  12. We know quite a few larger scale contractors with little run around "quote" vans. The only brand new vehicle I had was working for my previous employer (the previous GreenMech dealer) and It was a Isuzu D-Max. Did 100k in 2.5 years and not one single issue. Now its my business we buy nearly new. For example our Transit Custom was 6 months old with 10k from a contract hire company my parts guy has known for donkeys years in Bristol. Still had 2.5 years manufactures warranty and to be honest it looked brand new still yet saved us a few grand. Apart from the drivers window packing up its been spot on. Now has 55k on or something. Previously had a 2015 Vauxhall Vivaro, we had many issues with that under the 4 year warranty, the Vauxhall van dealership we were dealing with were assholes. Would never buy a Vauxhall Van again based on the local dealerships service.
  13. Brand new in stock 2019 GreenMech CS80 12hp wood chipper for sale with additional end of year discount. Special net £3,150 excluding vat and including delivery within Wiltshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire & Bath / Bristol. Call / message Ashley on 07881 027599
  14. Not these days! RRC seem to of gone up lately. If you can find a road worthy not rotten example for 1k let me know! ? 3dr classics are mental prices now. When starting up 5 years ago I bought a 2002 Disco 2 TD5 Commercial for 2k. It was spot on.
  15. Is reverse working correctly? When you hit forward paddle is the little red light coming on the electro / hydraulic solenoid? A stress control box is a couple of hundred quid usually. You'll need your serial number when calling the TW dealer as they'll spec it to your specific machine.
  16. Above the axle and below the roller box area there is normally a large block connector, you need to unplug it if removing the hopper. We have had problems in there with water and corrosion. Have had machines in before where that connector has been chopped out and new connections made up.
  17. Speak to Adam at JLR Plant & Machinery Ltd. He sometimes has a couple of old spares or repairs chippers.
  18. Best all round rider for sure. Seen him out in Whistler a few times riding.
  19. I have a contact in Lithuania and sold a bit of kit to them. They like big, heavy cheap kit and aren’t fussed if it’s been hammered.
  20. I’m not ripping into them, I purely said how they initially got a large market share. Which also said is impressive ?
  21. No doubt it has, adding another brand into the line up will always do that. They have had extreme growth in six years for sure. They've built a product that was initially very similar to the one that they were importing for many years. They had a huge customer base they were previously distributing to. In the first couple of years pretty much everyone who was chopping a Jensen in was getting a replacement Forst. It wasn't until Jensen came over unannounced to APF a few years ago to find out what was happening in the UK market they immediately pulled the plug on Redwood building /selling Forst and also distributing Jensen. Jensen themselves told me that, as prior to becoming a full main GreenMech dealer I was able to sub deal Jensen and had our own hire A530 750kg I bought brand new. They have been very successful in sales. No one can deny that. They've reported this week sales of 7.5M on one of their online posts. But they also boost 2M of used chipper stock and the largest used chipper stockist in the UK. Long term have they got their success from buying deals and paying top dollar for used kit which they can't shift? Is it sustainable? I think in the next 5 years we will find out. The chipping performance of a Forst is impressive. All manufactures have had to step their game up. Folk do question its longevity however.
  22. What model TimberWolf? Do you wish for sub 750kg? We have a fair few TW's come in our workshop. Nothing really wrong at all with the later models. They have been building chippers for a long period of time so they've gone through the hard times of "works on paper but doesn't in the field".
  23. The last two SafeTraks we had in for service & repairs this month, we took the filler necks off and cleaned the tanks out fully. Its surprising how much can still be inside a tank after undoing the drain bung and dropping the fuel. We have also found a sandy looking substance at the bottom of tanks lately too. Whether that's from jerry cans / fuel bowsers who knows! With the risk of sounding old... Fuel ain't what it used to be! Plus engines are a lot more sensitive...
