  1. [ame] [/ame] This her?
  2. How are you getting on with the cracker?
  3. Which processor are you thinking about? I've always fancied a mill, as you always get a lot of nice timber that could easily be milled in to beams, sleepers, posts etc. Dunno how much demand there is for untreated beams and sleepers? Always seems a waste nice quality timber going for firewood and chip. Also would be handy for pallet and,box repairs.
  4. That's pretty cheap. How long will it take you to pay back the processor and associated bits at that kind of money? I find softwood sales unpredictable, especially in the wholesale market. You'd be better employing someone part-time to deal with the pubic and sell the logs at £60+ per bag.
  5. Can you use waste wood, or does it have to be virgin?
  6. Did you get a free pair of ear muffs? That's a loud motor
  7. seem to be the only one struggling then. If you go down the self supplier route, they ask you to submit a felling license, or management plan, how did you get round that? Did you put it under virgin or waste wood? Not good with paperwork, my account know this
  8. You have a tail light out Mortimer, tisk tisk
  9. Is it the case that wind blow and arb waste are not sustainable sources then?
  10. Do domestic rhi users need to buy fuel from a BSL seller, or is this only for commercial rhi users?
  11. What weight does the crane lift, in and out?
  12. 3 cube to go out tomorrow
  13. Bilke do a hardened blade which can handle nails, screws and small pieces of metal. I had one and used it on demolition wood for a few years with no problems. Cuts and splits in one go and is pretty quick. Also good on round wood up to 9 inch I think, maybe bigger
  14. Bark ain't right, grain too tight
  15. Not sure what this is, any thoughts?
  16. Better with a 404 bar and chain for a large processor
  17. I would expect the plastic strips to wear, but surprised the metal guides have worn. Bet they werent cheap? Similar usuage to mine. Mines a 2011
  18. How much firewood have you done with it? I have a Pilke deck, and its still brand new 4 years on. Different design though
  19. Angus originally, Perthshire these days
  20. Wowser. No wonder you ain't pushing softwood. Not a huge difference between hard and softwood for you. £28 in the yard for 3m chip wood up here.
  21. Where abouts are you? Tayside, Aberdeen.......?
  22. You pay £37 roadside for softwood?
  23. Best part of the country mate
  24. Wow. Whats a tonne of 3m chip costing you?
