  1. Polo shirt...unless tie & shiny shoes are called for.
  2. Don't know the law but in that position I'd be polite & carry on. Maybe have someone check the law too.
  3. Plenty of advice here already but however you do it there'll be potential customers watching.
  4. DeWalt has been excellent, cost about £150 though.
  5. Presumably that can be done to any door if you can get puchase.
  6. My son quotes on Saturdays wearing polo shirt/jeans in a signwritten Ranger. They seem to prefer him to me, Heard of a plasterer who used a new 911 to quote, said he was good. He was too apparently.
  7. Always handy to know...I'll send PM.
  8. Mate who used to drive HGVs said it was by far the most valuable load he'd carry.
  9. Yup, think you're right. Hey ho.
  10. Getting a few jobs postponed til after March which is apparently 'bird nesting season'. Can't recall having this before. Just me?
  11. Great pics, thanks for sharing.
  12. What did you have before?
  13. Mine showed similar signs after being left outside but covered. Cleared all the hyd oilways, checked elecs only to find there'd been ingress of rainwater into the motor which corroded the steel/ally. £60 for new motor & alls well. Good luck as theres little to go wrong.
  14. Not the best paid, weather & conditions can be difficult but for satisfaction...oh yes.
  15. If a subbie was told to work on a tree which, unknown to him had TPO/CA restrictions...is he responsible or would it be the employer? Not trying to catch anyone out & its hypothetical but we were just talking & realised that, as we don't sub ourselves or use any, we didn't know.
  16. Welcome Danny & good luck. Plenty of experience/advice on here but not from me.
  17. My missus drove to Arras last week after reading the Christmas market was worth it. Came back most disappointed saying Hyde Park is far better. Me? Don't know...wouldn't go to either.
  18. I was thinking of a chain/cable thats affixed to the trailer drawbar to somewhere secure near the towball. The chain/cable would be longer than the breakaway cable so it'd still apply the handbrake in case of towhitch failure. I just called a well known trailer maker who said they thought it illegal...but still maybe a good idea. Could also double as security to prevent the easy theft of trailer when attached to tow vehicle?
  19. Is it legal to loop a cable/chain from the trailer to towball...is case the trailer hitch failed? Used to do this with an old trailer but someone thought it illegal.
  20. Having slept on it I realised the feed rollers were v clean looking (wet?) yesterday. So got up at 5am to check & yes, it was the bottom/fixed roller pump. Greenmech were excellent & honest enough to admit they've had issues with seals there & are sending a complete new pump, along with a seal kit to fit to the leaking one so we'll have a spare motor. Hopefully it'll be here in the morning so just one days downtime. I'll be saying a proper thanks to GM once done. Thanks for the input on here too.
  21. As above but can't see where its leaking from despite it needing 10 ltrs every week, so about every 20 hours. Puzzling as there are no are no wet joints or patches beneath. Anyone come across similar? Had the machine from new 2 years ago & no issues.
  22. Gets me when a passenger (one of my sons) leans over & toots whenever theres a fattie/crumpet pedestrian etc.
