  1. Going for surgery in the morning. They want to put a wire in to knit the bone together before they stitch it all up
  2. Yeah was just hurrying. Had blades sent express delivery due to discovering crack in one so changed them this lunch time to go to job in afternoon. No work for a while now me thinks. Flat out busy too.
  3. In a and e feeling bored and a bit stupid. Changing blades on a jo beau m400, moved drum round with fingers to check clearance etc, compression releases suddenly. Tip badly cut on one finger, another severed through the bone was dangling around. Could have been much worse. I should have known better but an easy mistake to make none the less. Hope this can stop someone else doing the same.
  4. Price and ease of getting it done really. I trust myself enough to know if my kit is fit for purpose so it's more for insurance purposes than anything else.
  5. Thanks all. I'll give you a call soon mate
  6. As title says really. Looking for a good loler tester close as poss to faversham area. I am aware of frjones postal service just wanted a bit less hassle. Any help appreciated. Thanks
  7. That's good, hard to know if you're doing the right thing sometimes. I didn't know what the hell it was let alone where I should leave it!
  8. Have 2 biggish sycamore jobs end of October in Kent if you need stocking up.
  9. This is aparantly a hawk moth catterpillar. Thankfully spared an ugly end in the chipper. Hopefully video works
  10. Unless someone takes it away for you from site it's a burden not a bonus. Why is he felling them? Seems a tragic shame
  11. Seen loads of power company rangers with winches on the front, not sure which ones they use. Let us know if you find out
  12. Did a quote the other day for elderly couple both with varying degrees of dementia, I was dealing with their son. He told me that one tree firm had quoted thousands for tree work the results of which was a shoddy crown lift and a pile of branches in the garden. Hard to believe how low some people are. Thankfully they are the minority.
  13. Nice work. Why 3 cuts on each branch if you are just dropping them? For me it would be undercut and quick cut straight above, both up close to the trunk, no need to sever the stub. Unless you want the end to drop down first of course but it's a bit more unpredictable where the button end will go. Hope that makes sense
  14. Rape seed oil on shorter bars. Stihl synth plus on longer just to be safe. 2 years no problems
  15. Axe looks worth a punt for 20 quid. Anyone used one?
  16. Anyone out there have (or know of) a good petrol splitter that I can hire for a day or 2. Don't mind a bit of a drive if it's worth it. It will be well looked after. Many thanks
