  1. thanks for the reply. I think the width of the JB is a deal breaker as you say, shame it looks like a well thought out machine apart from that. How do fsi compare price wise with predator?
  2. and no I cant afford an Hb20 unfortunately
  3. Need to replace my stump grinder that was stolen recently and been looking at a few options. Looking for around 13hp turntable models. I like the look of the jo beau but cant find out much about them (i have an m400 chipper which is awesome). Has anyone used one of these? Seems to retail at the same price as the predator 360 which is obviously a tried and tested machine but both come with a honda gx390 engine and look well built. It looks like the jo beau may be able to grind a bit deeper due to the design. Any thoughts or other ideas to look at? thanks
  4. Check the fuel pick up is moving when you tilt the saw
  5. What's that small tether on the zigzag/ropewrench? Not seen it done like that before.
  6. Both. I stick to paper until the job is booked in, then it goes into Google calendars with link to maps to find the address and and a link to the quote on Google drive. Saves scrambling around at 7 in the morning for the address you're supposed to be at. I have people working for me that use apple calendar app but no problem syncing them.
  7. Was thinking about installing one of these but wondered about where to site the main unit hub. If they see it and trash it does it render the whole system useless? Does it need to be hidden/in another building?
  8. Let it get messy then tidy it every once in a while. Saves being uptight about keeping it all organised. You seen my truck , that's how I roll. You replaced that saw yet mate?
  9. I feel your pain mate. Same happened to me last week. Chin up and crack on. Don't let the stress get on top of you.
  10. Thanks will. I've already been loaned 3 saws and a blower to see me through the week so I won't need yours. I appreciate the offer. It makes me feel better about things that everyone I have asked to help out has come back offering to lend equipment etc. We are a good bunch us lot!
  11. no cameras and no one nearby to witness anything unfortunately
  12. not even a visit from the old bill. no forensics. nothing.
  13. yes i'm insured but cant speak to them till monday now, next weeks work will be fun im sure. trailer was not insured but might be able to put it through home insurance i hope
  14. Went to the container a few hours ago to find gate busted open and shipping container also busted open. Lost an indespension tipper trailer, about 7 saws, hedge cutters, strimers, stump grinder, combi engines and attachments and lots of sundry bits. I'm lost for words...apart from a few choice swear words that Im not allowed to say on here. I knew it was coming but it doesnt make it any easier to swallow. Please everyone keep an ear out for anything being offered around, i'm near faversham in kent. and yes I am on arbsafe.
  15. Bad luck mate. If it makes you feel any better I'm having a turd of a month. Finger injury, attempted break in, head gasket gone on truck needs engine refurb etc etc. Sometimes things just go wrong. Just remember to appreciate it when they go right.
  16. Don't know why that quoted a completely different thread? Strange
  17. I feel your pain. I still have an 038, absolutely love it. They don't make em like that these days. As others have said, air leak sounds likely
  18. I have one and do a lot more than one job a month with it. It has its limitations as you would expect but for the money it's great. Sounds like you don't need anything more fancy
  19. Yes. No plaster just a sling to keep it elevated.
  20. Here's a pic of the xray. Had to take it while the doctor wasn't looking as they not allowed to let you aparantly
  21. I'll look out for that one I'm just round the corner. Loads of young ash in perry wood not pulling through too.
  22. Yeah I know. That middle finger.....think pacman!
