  1. but what do you think of the drums...they look worn but not excessively so....
  2. Thanks for the info.... taking the clutch apart the springs are pretty close to the end....
  3. Have been putting some tlc into the 200 this weekend and was replacing the sprocket and had a close look at the clutch and it looks quite worn where the springs go through even though working fine....see pic attached Assume I should replace? Is there anything else I should have a look at seeing as I’m ordering parts? Thanks in advance
  4. May have to come to that...I’ve stitched up old slings with a standard sowing machine- just don’t go to hard on it but because of the webbing needles go through fine [emoji106]
  5. Thanks bill!
  6. Seems a bit mad don’t it...you can get one under but not round...
  7. Hi folks Can’t seem to find a replacement strap for going round the ankle rather than under the foot. Anyone else had the same problem? To me it seems like it’s worn quite fast and the ascender is fine so don’t want to buy new.
  8. Rupe- did you get your ascender working alright in the end?
  9. Yeah I might do a comparison of the bars when I have a mo.... And thanks for your offer, I may well take you up on that [emoji106]
  10. Thanks Rob. I didn’t take this the wrong way. The impression I get is people do love the sugi bars and that is why I tried one. One year of use on a top handle seems to me to not be very long. There are days when you don’t do much cutting up a tree so it doesn’t get used and abused like a ground saw does. The fact that the rest of the bar is completely fine, I’ve only had to dress it once or twice in that time (and that was more for the sake of it than it needed it), to me says that the tip sprocket has failed prematurely. Certainly my expectations have been built up by a lot of pro sugihara posts and videos online. I think there is a tree stuff one where they say a pro lam could last 5 times longer and a pro solid 10 times longer than a standard bar (whatever that is). So for it to not oil well on the 200t has been disappointing but I am willing to try out on my husky ground saw and see if any different. The Husky bars are too soft and after a year of use I would imagine it knackered but this is not good value. Cheers
  11. Interesting....
  12. No don’t bother on short bars [emoji106]
  13. No idea mate. Nothing has changed other than bar
  14. Hi all I bought a Sugi pro lam bar for my 200t about a year ago and on Friday the tip died. Over the course of the year I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had to clean out the oil hole on the bar and so I reckon it just gave up from a chronic lack of oil. I switched over from a Rollomatic bar that I can remember how many times it stopped oiling in 3 years - zero! Now back on rollomatic again and running fine today. Just wondering if anyone else has similar issues with these bars. And if bars like these come with a warranty or not? Cheers!
  15. What was your reasoning behind that particular jacket? They do so many!
  16. First impressions?
  17. Is it actually designed for the carbon fibre shank? I can see metal on metal being very different?

Any government will find the cash to do what they want / need. Right or left. Governments that last have a slice of luck depending on the influence of the random global events that occur - markets, war, populist movements etc - rather their own success per se. They just do what they want and hope for the best!

It says in the first link 25% is Bank of England. So we are loaning ourselves the money. Which pretty much explains the whole mess. No one actually has any money and we are loaning it out to each other!
  20. Result!
  21. Aha! Cheers I’m old enough not too worry about that [emoji6]
  22. B+E? Minds gone blank - what is that
  23. I know - its a bit mental isn't - but if you own a crane, why not? We all do it the easy way whenever possible, today we used the tractor with timber grab, you could have done it without, but it made the whole job so easy and quick

Looking at your links the interest has remained about 5% of government spending for years. Debt and financing it just seem like part and parcel of running and financing a country (its half of that in the 50s) They also show total debt has increased since 2010 when we went all out on austerity. We aren’t ever going to pay off the debt because we are always borrowing and financing more, just like a company.
