  1. To add to that. Unless these countries have more employment and a stable economy that can look after its older people, the population will continue to grow as parents see it as a way of being looked after in old age.
  2. Oxfam receive huge amounts of public money, so they should be accountable. https://www.oxfam.org.uk/~/media/Files/OGB/What%20we%20do/About%20us/Plans%20reports%20and%20policies/6651Annual_Report_201415WEB.ashxf
  3. I have a few clients like this too. They always pay when I see them. It’s fine as long as the trust is there. Difficult if you need the money quick I suppose.
  4. Does the average person know when a tree is about to fail? (Excepting massive cracked trunks/limbs!)
  5. As bad as they are zero hours would be better for them as then they would not be charged for days off.
  6. It’s difficult to have much sympathy for these drivers. Yes the contract maybe very one sided but no one forced anyone to sign it. All that said the contact should not really be allowed to be set up in this way.
  7. True but at least it’s not going anywhere but where it’s supposed to. That can be the only reason they call them“eco”
  8. It’s the alleged “self employed” bit that doesn’t sit well with me. If your self employed then you should be able to come and go as you please. If you can’t do as you please regarding working hours ( as in choose which shifts you want to work) then it’s not very self employed is it?
  9. The government has managed to change state workers pensions so that workers pay more to get less out in the end. If they can do that I’m sure they can do as they please with this RHI
  10. I Agree with you except I would say advertise for grass cutting in February, March and April in the same places for the 3 months. It works I’ve done it for years and though I have a full round I like to advertise to try and drop some of the rubbish and get new better paying clients. Besides that I’ll be slowly starting the grass cutting in the next 2-3 weeks a lot is ready just too wet.
  11. Don’t get me wrong I’m not interested in getting big, I was wondering how much the big guys have to do to get really big! Lose the bit of fat I have and tone up is all I want. Just want to do that as efficiently as possible so a mix of weights and cardio seems to be the way forward though could easily be wrong
  12. How much time do you spend lifting each day/week whatever to allow you to get anywhere near these weights. I see from an earlier post you’ve been going for many years but presumably you have to go a lot to keep it up?
  13. [emoji23][emoji23] I did do 2 x 5 @40kg (20kg weights on each thing/side of machine on chest press machine) Didn’t feel to work the same though and besides that I want to go up very slowly on the free weights especially so I don’t hurt myself. I used the machines when I went to health club type gym years ago no free weights all machines with cables lifting the plates so this is first time with actual weights.
  14. And put pay down if they are rubbish? I don’t see how that would work. A basic wage with performance bonus that an employer couldn’t wriggle out of maybe?
  15. I managed the bar on its own for 3 x 10 tonight[emoji23] first go... maybe I shouldn’t have said that!
  16. Had proper flu twice. Last time being the worst. It took about 4 weeks to get back to normal. Eat right (as well as is possible anyway I didn’t feel like eating for a couple of weeks) and lots of sleep. I started to come out the other side when I started eating again if that makes sense
  17. Missed this one earlier. Thanks for that. I’m not looking to get huge or anything but would like to remove the beer belly (not that I drink and it’s not that bad!) And thinking that good all round extra strength will only be a good thing.
  18. Thanks for that I think I’ll go tonight when it’s busy and talk someone into watching me when they are in between lifts. It seems like lots of people in there spend as much/more time resting as lifting, but then they are lifting far far greater weight than I do since I’ve only done 7kg dumbbells and body weight[emoji5]
  19. You have all inspired me! So 2 weeks ago I joined the gym. I’ve been doing basic cardio and some bodyweight exercises (squats , rows(?), press ups and some dumbbell work on my sore shoulder) Question is what weight should I start on for the squats as after 2 weeks it’s seemingly pointless doing the squats now without weight as I’ve been doing 6 x 15. So need to add weight but don’t want to go too quickly and also need to just practice on low weight so I get the stance/ form whatever you call it right! Or do I need to get some training sessions? Thanks in advance Richard
  20. I’ve got a little 7 by 5 750kg caged indespension trailer. It’s a great little trailer. Obviously only good for small light stuff but build quality is good. I went brian James for the bigger trailer
  21. Do the farmers actually clear the mud up round your way? They seem to do it on a Friday if at all round here!
  22. Don’t know about the hedge cutter but Lego is really hard to break!
