  1. A good place to start for all the bits and bobs for meat processing ( bacon,sausage, blackpudding jerky, etc) is designasausage.com.
  2. That piece is going to be made into a table by a local joiner.it is used in the making of kitchen worktops,chopping boards,etc
  3. This is a large beech milled at over 42 wide 15 ft long.
  4. Yes it is beech an old butt that been laying about for about five years.

  8. Slowly aclimatizing the wood to the house it is being used in for a few weeks will help and reduce cracking etc.
  9. Yes it was hand carved in the 1940 ish.

  16. I am just sanding the kitchen floor an the moment with a standard belt sander on speed setting 1 very slow.So as not to get the dust all over the house and more control off the finish.this I am just cutting back to revarnish .
  17. A good belt sander will soon make that look like new again.going to do mine later this week.
  18. I would say on a child's grave like that,you would be looking to find the lid off the coffin between 24 and 30 inches down.
  19. Go for the 3120xp I have used a 28,36,50 inch bar on it. so very versatile.

    Its a bit drastic, but a bit off heat on the clutch casting works well.
  21. I milled at one and three quarter inches 12 off the slabs and 4 off at four inch these where taken for the top and bottom off the butt.
  22. These butts had been stored in a barn for many years,and I would say they are seasoned.Cutting was a lot different than wet wood. Thnormal was some decay in the butts penetrating to around a couple off inches in.The dryness off the wood ment more oil and fuel used than normal.
  23. I milled it for a joiner,and I believe it is going to be used to make a kitchen as he build's high spec kitchen's.
