  2. I was milling some sycamore yesterday and I was having in slow the mill down as it was trying to get to the end off the log fast than me.Afer a few slabs it became more comfortable.
  3. Well impressed with this grinder,saved alot of time against filing by hand. And it made life milling alot easier.thanks Rob D.
  4. I was just about to post, make sure you have working roof hatches they can come in useful.
  5. Must admit there has been a lot of resin about while I have been cutting,in small pools on top off the cut surface.
  6. Why is pine so hard to mill,I find hard woods a lot easier.

  9. I was thinking of using angle on the table tops with router cut under the table. Then bolted to top and cross member's. thus adding a bit off strength to limit movement in top.

  11. Its looks like another one to plank up then,Cut a slab off beech yesterday 42 wide 3 inch thick and 15 feet long.And boy is it heavy. as the joiner,who wanted it found out today,a quick rethink on transport for it. Carl.
  12. Most off my work is for wood to repair old farm buildings.so no building control.
  13. I was cutting some oak today, and a large beach tree came in,nice and straight 30 ft long. and was just thinking it would make some nice beams and some planks.

  16. I shop at my local farm shop and slaughter house,the quality is better and its really reasonable, a one stop local business.
  17. As a grave digger, I would like to see them handle a 26 stone person in an egg shaped coffin.
  18. To me it looks as if the crankcase seal has perished,letting oil into the engine.and the oil pump may need a look at.
