  1. That could of eaten into the profits!
  2. Sorry to hear this Jonny. If you need the lend of any saws gimme a call. Hope it gets sorted mate.
  3. Talking of education..... Watching and listening to the poisonous bile spewed out from the "tolerant inclusive" liberal protesters in the US has been something of an eye opener.
  4. It's a posh menu......
  5. Statistics don't always give the true picture. I go into prisons to give talks and bring a message of hope to guys who are trying to turn their lives around but there isn't much help available, sadly. The vast majority of prisoners are released and immediately become homeless, not a great start to their rehabilitation. The government had a solution to this. Give each prisoner one nights B&B money upon release. Now the Home Secretary can stand up in the House of Commons and report that no prisoners become homeless on release and they have "solved" the problem. 🙄
  6. Zigzag= worth its weight in gold for us older climbers. 👍
  7. iPhone 6 and iPad mainly. Sometimes I use my PC at the office.
  8. Great work, Very watchable!
  9. The ironic thing here is that having your climbing kit LOLERed by a non Arb inspector may mean that your insurance may be void in the event of a piece of kit failing due to his error. The regs state that the kit should be inspected by someone with the relevant practical and theoretical knowledge. In this case, Arb specific Hope this helps 👍
  10. I'm going to ask our director if we can buy a brand new welfare van.... £30k for a work van... for not working in. (But, don't worry, it'll get plenty of use!) I can just see his face now...😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  11. No of course not........ It's Doris Johnson. 🙄
  12. The facts speak for themselves..., Ordinary working class Americans have had enough of crooks like Clinton and the absurd Liberal PC agenda.
  13. Hi. Do you mean MDS or MBS (min breaking strength) ? I've never LOLERed dynamic rope for tree work as we generally use static type rope for "work positioning" applications. Any climbing rope used in Arb must have a CE mark which shows it has been tested to European standards and usually has an EN 1891 (European Norm) type A rating which shows that it has a 22kn or above MBS and as such, when providing a LOLER certificate only needs to be classified as PPE. This info is to the best of my knowledge/understanding and there are others on here with greater in depth knowledge. It sounds like your LOLER guy might be referring to rock climbing or even IRATA gear.
  14. Neat rope work 👍. (Fair bit cheaper as well!)
  15. Hahaha..........
  16. I agree that Obama was a gifted orator, the only problem is that just about all of his words were empty. His farewell speech was really excellent........ if only it had been true.
  17. My American Mrs thought this was highly amusing! On a lighter note, wasn't it lovely to see Madonna, Charlotte Church, Ashley Judd and all the others demonstrating what wonderfully kind, tolerant, warm and loving human beings they really are!!
  18. Sorted it now👍. Got meself the Ropeman 2 with the tiny DMM spring gate (rated at 4kn). Job done. Thanks Mr Git and MattyF for your help and advice.
  19. My Mrs is from Iowa. Her family are honest (hard) working class ordinary American folk of Native American/Norwegian ancestry. Obama care has really hit them hard. Hopefully all of the useless legislation that Obama forced through will now get dismantled. Just reading the different news reports of all the protests and the violence from around the US really shows the true colours of the so called "caring, inclusive liberal movement' . The irony!
  20. Another one for the otter box. I ran over an iPhone 5 in the car and the phone didn't have a scratch, the case took all the impact. Needed a new otter box but much cheaper than the phone. 👍
  21. Sorry to hear about this, I hope everything works out for you. Sounds like you've been through a lot.... sounds like you have what it takes to make it through.
  22. Re the positive outlook, I noticed your absence on the Europe in or out thread!! You obviously didn't feel the need to wade in on that then!! 😎😇🤐
  23. Good luck doing that with ivy! 🙂
