  1. This pretty much sums up the left wing way of doing things..... https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/christian-girl-5-sent-to-muslim-foster-parents-speak-english-arabic-tower-hamlets-london-a7916071.html%3famp
  2. I started on a dragonfly. Very bulky harness but it was all I had. Next I got a Stein Vega which is a good comfy budget harness, If you lengthen the adjustments on the leg loops you should be able to find a comfy set up. Trial and error. It may be that the harness doesn't suit your shape. If you can get to a dealer you can try a load of different ones on and hang in them to find one that suits you. The most expensive/exotic harness won't necessarily be the best for a comfortable fit. Harnesses are very subjective.
  3. Can't you get primer in Aspen blue?
  4. What system are you climbing on? The short answer is no it doesn't matter from a safety critical point of view but from a practical/comfort preference point of view it could help to add another ring to the bridge.
  5. Nah, was in the middle of dismantling a 370ft anaglypta, one handing the 88 and my finger slipped.
  6. Drove past your bridge earlier Mick, didn't look like there was anyone home.
  7. If your fit and have good knees and back 35 isn't necessarily old to start climbing. Getting the tickets and getting in the tree is the easy part. Learning how to be efficient and skilful , like anything takes time. Like stumpy says, building a business takes a lot of time, effort and investment. All the best
  8. Wrong colour [emoji849] Timon.
  9. SIP progress. Comfortable and very durable. Avoid Stihl hiflex as they won't last 5 mins. Timon.
  10. Sorry to hear of your woes. Hope you pull through and get things sorted. [emoji106] Timon.
  11. Read in the Express that the National Trust have sacked a gardener who has worked in the same grounds for 50 years because he doesn't have any qualifications. Timon.
  12. Yes uncontrolled immigration is a problem here, but I'm pretty sure that not the current problem in the USA, most of those people of colour have been there as long as the whites and were actually stolen from their country and taken to the USA, some may think they have more right to be there than any as a result. Bit like the Israelis in Israel then. [emoji106] Timon.
  13. https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10521/intolerant-culture Worth a read if you have the interest and the time. Timon.
  14. Tuefelberger do a very similar system called the CE lanyard. Timon.
  15. Same as above, rarely use mine. 5m Marlowe with a simple prussic loop. If I used it more often I would attach a grab or VT and pulley. Really come into their own on ivy covered stems. Timon.
  16. Or maybe the theory of evolution has provided a reason for people who simply don't want to believe. There are a great many good scientists who still hold an open mind as to whether evolution was guided and started by (an) intelligent design(er). The science "establishment" has been taken over by people who won't even entertain or permit the exploration of the possibility. Bit like Orwell's Ministry of Truth. Timon.
  17. My Mrs is American, she likes (some of ) what trump is doing. You could never describe my wife as a racist or a facist. Trump is a wrecking ball for sure, but at least he has the minerals to call things out as they are. I.e. Bad people on both sides of the political spectrum. In this country we've been castrated by years of political correctness, we're too frightened to speak the truth for fear of offending people. (Unless they happen to be Christians or Jews) Timon.

    New Husky Launch

Hmm., next years a bit too far away. Thanks for the info [emoji106] Timon.
  19. Does anyone have any info on the new husky's about to be launched (today)? I did hear that they posted something on YouTube then immediately took it down. I've heard whispers of a replacement for the 372.. I'm about to replace a blown 560 and wondered if it was worth hanging fire until the new ones are out??? Timon.
  20. Looks great jonny[emoji106] Timon.
  21. Someone told me they are made by the same people/factory who make Electrolux.... Timon.
  22. I'm considering it. I gave up sugar for the the first four months of this year and noticed a huge difference in my fitness and energy levels but I've relapsed since and put on weight due to a sweet tooth..., my wife has chronic asthma and multiple food allergies so has to have a mainly paleo diet but she can't have egg which is limiting. Shes just started a new keto-genic diet which is low carb, low protein but high fat (good fats) It basically gets your body to burn ketones rather than glucose as energy, it made a dramatic improvement in her health but it's very demanding in terms of weighing her food. I'm a bit of a fat git for a climber at 5'9 and just under 14st, so I need to sort something out!! Maybe cut the sugar out and go paleo again is the answer......

    560xp. V. Ms361

No I was the stupid one for mistaking the 391 with a 361. I really need to get fixed up with some specs... I used a 362 the other day and thought it was a good saw. We got the 391, the guy who's going to be using it says it's a bit slow but doesn't bog down when the bar is buried so he actually likes it.
