  1. Amazing. Thanks for posting. Exceptional ‘landscape’
  2. TIMON

    Ouch.

Looking again at that video. Even before the piece gets snatched, the main stem gets pushed backwards as the piece leaves the cut. I thought I heard the commentator say there were 4.5 wraps on the bollard?
  3. I have a FB account but I’ve never added any friends. (Too much crap from the past to open those doors again) I’m in on a couple of WhatsApp invitation only groups and on here of course, that’s plenty for me. Met some really great people and made some good friends from being on here. [emoji106]
  4. TIMON

    Ouch.

Interesting. How high do you recon that euc in the Tahune airwalk video was ? I only ask as it looked a lot higher than 100’.
  5. TIMON

    Ouch.

Bingo! Thanks Mark. Doesn’t matter how many times you see that video it’s still incredible, especially when he goes up the “skinny” stem. I’ve got a dead oak to do soon... I’ll make sure I watch that the night before. [emoji106]
  6. TIMON

    Ouch.

Shame. My all time favourite tree vid. Maybe the Chemical Brothers kicked up a fuss about using their tune. (They should be grateful really!)
  7. TIMON

    Ouch.

    Still won’t play though!
  8. TIMON

    Ouch.

Be surprised if he walked away from that.... horrible. That was a big piece to try snatching on a dead tree.
  9. Not really. Was there a big problem with Jewish terrorism back then?
  10. I don’t think that it could be called racist as it’s not discriminating against a race of people. You could argue that it is getting into the territory of eroding religious freedom but then you have to ask the questions such as what is more important... the oppression of women, public security in the light of Islamic terrorism or religious freedom. It is ironic that a woman being compelled to wear one of these ghastly things over her face has anything to do with freedom...
  11. Ok I’ve got 5 mins to spare while the Mrs is in Aldi..,., So, let me get this straight. You don’t need to “waste time” researching subject matter in a meaningful way to be able to dismiss it out of hand and then slate people who have a differing point of view on the subject? It doesn’t surprise me that “historians” like Richard Carrier appeal to you. I welcome rational, intelligent and civilised debate on this subject (perhaps on a different thread, though). but it seems like it’s beyond your capacity so I’ll leave it there as I don’t have the time or the inclination.
  12. Richard Dawkins never had the time or inclination.....really? Hmmm... he has devoted the best part of his life’s work to refuting the claims of the bible. Not wanting to derail this thread away from what is “making the news” Here’s an interesting article from The Guardian, not really known for being a pro-Christian publication and while I don’t believe for one second that this will change your mind, it will at least serve to give the subject a wider perspective. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/14/what-is-the-historical-evidence-that-jesus-christ-lived-and-died
  13. I think you will find that almost all serious historians agree that the person known as Jesus Christ actually existed. Even Richard Dawkins accepts this.
  14. Jewish ancestry, believer and follower of Jesus. Jesus was Jewish as well. I don’t believe God is “bothered” What’s confusing about that?
  15. Maybe, but I’ll also watch Al Jazeera Read the Guardian and Independent Etc...
  16. I’m Jewush and take an interest in what is happening in the Middle East.
  17. That’s right. I get to choose. Thankfully I’m not subjected to what the kardashians are doing either.
  18. Looks like Mick Dempsey was right then... the special stuff. [emoji40][emoji30][emoji850] Congrats though! [emoji106]
  19. I've been deleting my "mainstream" news apps one by one and looking more at "off the beaten track" ones for the real news. Here's a couple. https://www.debka.com/ https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/ http://m.jpost.com/ Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but the narratives served up by the BBC, The Mail and CNN were beginning to grate a bit...
  20. UKIP's new leader looks like a good pick. Good experience and politically even-handed by the looks of it. Could be worth a punt in the future [emoji106]
  21. I've got it..... It's Linda McCartneys liver
  22. I've got some wet foamback carpet here and some old Mog tyres, you wouldn't mind would you? [emoji91][emoji91]
  23. Pretty much I think, MrJ. Talk about swallowing a camel and straining at a gnat... Call me old fashioned but I think the world was a better place when you could burn "stuff".
  24. 576 is a great saw. Ours never misses a beat on a 25"
  25. Boxes need ticking MrJ. Looks good on the stats on the end of year report.
