  1. You can work within 1 meter, and if that's still no good then phone the power supply and they will send there engineers out, thay won't isolate it as there's no need it won't cost you a bean there just there just in case
  2. There was no way I was going back to tidy up a bomb site, yer I felt a bit sorry for the guy but like said it's a PITA trying to pull a heap of brash apart Like also said, who needs costomers like that cheep skates
  3. A few months ago I priced a job to remove a row of conifers from the back of 200ft rear garden with crap access, never got it, 2 weeks go by and I get a call from the guy asking if I'd be interested in going there to chip up all the wast and take it away So I said "oh you done it yourself in the end" no he said but the guy who done it said his chipper had broken down he'll be back next day to clean up took full payment and was never to be seen again So I quoted £100 more then 1st quote Happened to drive past and see a skip on the drive full coni I recon he'll need at lest 4 of them £250 ish a pop
  4. Auto is nice off road I must amit, my own challenge truck is auto and has 2 transfer boxes so super low geared I already run a 110 cherry picker so this hi cap is going to run along side that, I like the defender in manual and only want the bmw lump in there to help keep it up with modern traffic when towing, the 3.0 td puts out about 260 bhp, so over kill for what I want Iv always got the option to chage it over if the R380 don't work out
  5. The trouble is we only find out once someone's been ripped off when it's too late !! But I'd say 9 out of 10 customers are on the ball getting 2 or 3 quotes which surly gives us a chance ?
  6. You'll never stop it, cowboys just change there names phone numbers etc & start a fresh with no insurance, no tickets etc It's sad when someone's been ripped off but that's just life
  7. Did think about auto, but keep it manual it's a work horse !!
  8. Yes I'm using them as want to keep the body looking original, you could make them panels easy
  9. Managed to get a R380 defender gearbox today ready for the bmw engine and booked it in for a respray in frozen white
  10. Iv had a hi cap in the yard for a wile now I got cheep as it was damaged a tree fell on and done roof screen wing n bonnet Over the last few months Iv been getting all the parts together to fix it Iv got all the new panels found a truckman top for it and a set of 5 brand new insa turbo special tracks a husky superwinch wide arches light gards new lights The plan is to run this as a back up truck or for smaller jobs or off road jobs etc also towing It's being converted to a tipper using the original hi cap body as I like the look of them and the truckman top is an ideal chip box Once all this is done I'll be putting a 3.0 six pot bmw turbo diesel lump in it I'll start taking a few pics as I go along.......
  11. This is the cheepset stump grinder Iv ever seen for sale so I'd act quick if I were you....... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122404383649
  12. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272583240893 Looks smart the 4x4 trucks defo look better in a single cab one of these would ideal combo with a little TW125
  13. Iv got a 4x4 super carry, I use it in my yard and sometimes take it to a job to act as a mule ( I take it there on the back of my transit tipper ) I couldn't image using on as a work truck / van it's crazy if you want s small truck look at SWB cabstar or Toyota Danya
  14. Seen a few done, I like the look of keeping the original pick up body Iv got a landrover 110 hcpu down my yard that I want to convert to a tipper send me some info Regards Joel
  15. It ant nothing to with springs or air bags that's not the issue, the problem you'll have is there's going to be so much weight over the arse end your truck will actually do a wheelie Plus it's going look like a pull Do I care no of corse not, all us using small trucks are over loaded me included It's a nice box, would be lovely on a single cab just looks wrong on a double cab
  16. Way too much over hang with that massive box hanging right over rear axles, I recon you'll have to pull away gentle from the lights
  17. Is the plan to chip in to box ? If so Looks like a wheelie machine !!
  18. And can carry 2.5 tonne leagle or 5t if you want to
  19. No it would be a hindrance, too much double handling

    2 stroke

    Buy a bigger can
  21. I load mine on the truck with the bobcat, then tip the body up a bit so they slide on to the tail lift, lower them down then pull em off, Easer option is hiab Trailer will be mega agg trying to reverse it on drive ways etc You could fit a hiab on the trailer, this has been done and is a good option
  22. Iv got a twin wheel 10ft by 5ft tipping trailer that's been shot blasted & sprayed in primer in my yard £1200 buys it as is or for extra £150 you can have in any colour you want, I'm based in Essex If its any good to you let me message me......
