  5. Cautrac @Bolton do cracking prices on tracks has they have there own brand now ,just replaced my micro digger tracks and fairing up well . Ste
  6. Just carry on using good quality 2stroke oil ie sthil and she will carry on for years,equivalent saw now will set you back 400 to 600 notes new . Ste
  7. 038 is a 90s generation saw similar to my 039 farm boss which is basically bomb proof ,think they did a magnum version too in the states,good all-round 72cc saw . My farmboss I too picked up of e-bay 9years ago for £120 and that too was mint ...bargain ,owes me nothing and has cut some hefty trees Very little plastic too hence there weight,I still run by farmboss and a mint 1996 025 which is still my favourite saw of all I own .   8. The only helpful information I can give you is they use Yanmar engines on the compact/midi tractors which are basically bullet proof,just check the hydraulics has if similar to Yanmar they have a strange setup pump wise and that the fluid is correct level and oil is clean . Ste
  9. Simple .......keep your price lower than your competitors and if customers winge send them in the direction of your competitors who are more expensive . It never fails for me but I never supply them again when they come back with there tail between there legs . Ste
  10. The job I loose sleep/worry over is the one with THAT ONE BRANCH/LIMB ETC that goes out into the ABYSS over a shed etc . Never touch the ale before a job but hammer it at the end and never take a job on that to big . We all deal with stress in different ways and no harm in a bit of Adrenaline running through the veins has this can keep you on your toes too ! Ste

  13. While at my local dealer they just had a 441 delivered with a 15" bar for a customer and it did feel just right for what you are looking for . Ste
  14. Great too see a homeowner using a bit of common sense and doing there homework first,great result has this could proved horribly expensive has it sounds has if you were being led up the garden path somewhat with the rare tree . Ste
  15. I burn just about anything ,the Mrs is great at lighting the stove its the cleaning I am concerned.........endless fires in the Hoovers ,she just does not get it ! Ste

  20. Had my MS150 nearly a year now so what is involved in exhaust mod,have never touch any of my saws has in modifications but the ms150 is a cracker and just so light . Ste
  21. 461 all day long ,mine has just run in and its Sweet ,I run a 361 and 039 too but the new 461 is light and certainly not overkill . Ste
  22. I have 2 of these saws,one is non-runner and the other I almost certain the crank seals have gone. If all fails sourcing a part I will strip them for parts. Ste
  23. [ATTACH]167019[/ATTACH] Take note ,I broke the chainbrake of 153 on this job,very flimsy design for such a big saw ,Dolmar 122s in pic too .great old saws but the up most respect when I get them out . Ste
  24. I still take me Dolmar 153 for a run out now and then when I am feeling fit ,the difference in weight between my ms880 is incredible,proper mans saws are them old Dolmars. Trying to upload pic on its last outing with it baby brothers too but my phone not avin any of it . Ste
