  1. just has the title says we have had a battle this week with HER new fire being fitted and me refusing to back down on on losing the stove. Outcome is we now have are own rooms downstairs ,its a no brainer for me and the stove and endless supply of free wood to HER gas fire which has cost a small fortune (my funds to renovate my old David Brown gone ).   11. Stein X2 Aluminium Climbers i use and 90% are used on conifers ,i was a bit wary of the velcro with the wood dust but they have been excellent and very light. Ste
  12. Stihl MS170 brand new with a warranty £160-£170 , keep the chain bob on all the time and you will be amazed what a little saw will cut ,they are tough too and will take a heavy knock ,i have got two MS170s and swear by them for smaller jobs . Ste

  14. If like most councils at the present moment who are so skint they cant afford to put dog fouling signs up then they wont have two pennies to chase it through the courts if you are LUCKY..................................... Tip for the future ,,,,,always take a picture of every job . Ste

  17. Well my back always goes around this time in November and has not done for the 2nd YEAR RUNNING DUE TO THE MILD WEATHER ,has soon has i get a twinge and drop on all fours i will let you all know that the cold weather is on its way . Ste
  18. Nothing to difficult today apart from it sat in the corner of 4 neighbours fences and a shed with a lean back into nextdoor . A nice Silver Birch had to come down and the Neighbours were not happy either until i shown them the reason why and they soon shut up . Dragged my eldest lad on the job to whip is arse into shape has he has got himself a car sales job at Honda and getting lazy again. I totally disagree too with you .....i started serious climbing 8 years ago and I am now 46 and I will run rings round some of these young bin kids who fade out by 3oclock who think its still home time at school. Like I said earlier a lot depends on if you have had a physical job prior to start climbing which I did living in a pig farm and have been using chainsaw since a very early age . Ste
