  1. My Tonka toy centre steer loading Shovel , more sharp edges on it then Edward Scissor Hands ...absolutely lethal toy and no way would it get CE approved these days . Ste
  2. Got a call of a Customers' Family member asking can i tidy up there Garden and cut the lawns .......... Not one of my regular lawns and typically not been cut all year and they think I will do it tomorrow and probably expect to pay me £20 that I charge there Mum for regular lawn .Every year without fail I get the last minute Crap tips .......well it ain't happening this year Ste
  3. Todays job is my last job this year has i was shaking like a shi..ing dog and probably coming down with a virus , no climbing and used my pole saw and my little Husky 135.Wee chipper stuck right in the job and Ivy cut back and Severed , no intentions of touching the ivy branches on the asbestos asbestos roof so will let nature take its place and let it die off .3 bags of chip/few logs and finished at 1 . 4. I have looked at these chippers and was horrified at the level of not so engineering!!!! Forget it . Ste
  5. Great news you got one , for there money they are a no brainer ,another tip for them is when using on green if its possibly shove the green in first then the thicker wood chip will keep it clear ,obviously this cant be done on larger materials , play about and you will piss through jobs . Ste
  6. Sounds very similar to my friends fire , open the door and smokes a lot and cant have the door open slightly to help it draw like mine does or it leaks back . Once is lit its fine and admittedly looks the dogs dangles has you can almost put a 2ft wide log on . Ste
  7. You might have hit the nail on the head , yes this is a garage conversion opening up to a open planned kitchen with central heating and 2 storey. Ste
  8. Hi thanks for reply and you confirm my suspicions over fitting , I have told my friend to get back in touch with fitter and have suggested fitting a rotary cowl now . Ste
  9. Got a call off a friend who has just had a insert stove fitted and is basically struggling to get to grips with it (townie) and I had already dropped him a bag of logs (5%-18% average moisture) to get going with . I offer to call and show him the ropes, these stoves have very little or no control on them and this one is blowing back horrendously when you open the door. After pissing about I noticed he only has a 125mm/5" flue fitted and a single storey extension so I am thinking this is not big enough and chimney not tall enough, personally I think he has not put much thought into this and bought what I can make out to be a 10kw smokeless multi fuel fire in a area Where we can puff out Indian smoke signals without a issue .Also there is a question mark over whether the fitter has tested the flue using smoke test. I have told him to get smokeless fuel and kilned dried wood to try next . Has anyone had any experience with these stoves and I am sure that a 6" plus flue should be used . Ste
  10. Birds are for life Jon and not just Christmas:thumbup: Ste
  11. Most Aldi stores by me use shared car parks with the likes of Homebargain,Card warehouse, Tesco metro etc so will be interesting how that works, has to Aldi car parks I think the Architect used Fiat 500s to base there plans on car park spaces !!! Se
  12. Same applies here , don't pay it ,they will keep sending official looking letters hoping typical Jonny English pays . They cant enforce it unlike Police and Councils Ste
  13. Old wives tale Jon , no such thing has a micro pig and that's from someone who bred pigs for a living (2000 plus) also same restrictions apply to Pet pigs has farm pigs ie movement restrictions . Ste
  14. No problems, another tip with these chippers is don't throw rakings off the job in , the times I see this makes me cringe , has there is only me using it I have not sharpened blades un 12 months and I still have to keep hold of bigger branches to stop it from dragging it in to quick !! . Ste
  15. My Mrs came in from work tonight and said in 16 years working in the Bank this has to be the worst Christmas she has heard of Thefts from Property's. Sorry about your news Ste
  16. Same here , I regret not splashing out the extra dough for conveyor. St
  17. Yes if you have a dual clutch you can adjust by removing the inspection cover of the bottom of the bell housing and using a torch you will see on clutch cover a locknut with a Allen key inside, memory serves me correct there is 3 or 4 of them BUT BE WARNED you get it wrong and you will lose the clutch feel completely and you will piss about for hours getting it back. You can adjust on foot pedal to take up slack on stage .I have a factory workshop manual for 885/995/996 Ste
  18. My is fitted with the Loncini engine ie Gts and I was a bit dubious but it has proven me wrong , that link shows with the optional extra of the swivel chute which is listed at £360 !! . My brother has bought the Lastest version which has stop bars fitted to intake chute has similar to the likes of Timberwolf . Has I have said once you get the knack of using these machines they are great , if they do block up just turn throttle to idle and it will clear itself in 5 min . Ste
  19. Nice little job over the hols replacing clutch on DB , fun and games they can be . Ste
  20. Couple of jobs my wee chipper has done , the large coni was a pig of a job with only just enough room down side of house and Coni was 10ft from conservatory, ladders (tied in ) i used to open job up and put myself a line in plus one for rigging . Typical little comi with chipper right upto job and wheelie bin to tip into a bulk bag on trailer . They are A Wee chipper and cheaper so dont expect to launch 3" plus through it ' ,i make logs out of twigs for my fire For a one man band outfit like me they are HEAVEN ,90% of my tree work is conifers i cannot complain has i paid £1200 ex demo . 21. Hi , I have run my GTS 1300 for over year now and have battered it with no problems, there is a knack to using these machines ie they Hate bitty dry dead brittle conifer but love green Conifer piss wet through, has they rely on velocity rather then wind you have control the feed has to not choke it up but havin said that they will chomp away at any other wood . I can post a few pics later of some large jobs it has done . They are very heavy so you wont be lifting out of van either ramps a must also they have 2 reversible blades which are easily sourced but £160 . Ste
  22. Possibly the size of the saw, I noticed on my Balfor if I run at 540 the is a hint of speed wobble on the blade ,back off to 350 its bang on. Ste
  23. 1000rpm high speed low torque 540 rpm low speed high torque Ste
  24. Stihl Ms 201cm something different for a change ,it's sat waiting for collection in my local dealer ,I wont pick it up until last day of trading lol . Ste
