  4. Ive just been on BSI, they want £86 quid for it. where have you seen it for a tenner? i got mine about 5 years ago off BSI and it was £60. By the way I was having a laugh in my first reply.

  9. i have a superwinch on the landy, ok its a big ep 12.5 but its quality and i have done loads of directional felling with it. as for the rope i use synthetic dyneema bow rope because its sooo much lighter and very,very strong.
  10. couldnt get a good swing at it for the high lifts coz of the fence post, winching only took about 20 mins start to finnish. yeah jp just up from my house, nice and handy.

  12. Ive been watching this program on discovery for the last few weeks, its quite entertaining. sat 6pm discovery channel. check it out.

  16. Keeping it as a spare, it was my first "propper" saw, its had a new engine and is battered and worn but i wouldnt part with it.
  17. Any day thats dry is a bonus mozza, it also gave me a chance to try my new toy......346xp, great saw, i had one of the old ones and this new one has more power and a sexy silver side case.

  20. We dont normally work at the weekend but as the access was through a garage or onto a school field we took the easy option of the school field. Large spruce to fell, customer took wall down ready so we got their at 7.45, jim climbed it and chucked winch rope on and had it down by 8. chipped and logged by 9 then went and got the stumpy and ground out the stump. done and paid by 12.30. I wish every job went as well as this.
  21. not trying to be funny but if you did 6 days on £50 thats £300, it would help to get the bills paid and get you in with an employer and more importantly earning while you look for something better or get bumped up when employer sees you are as good as you say you are. i have tried lads who have tickets comming out their backsides and think they are the mutz nutz but are still not up to it. another word of advice as a company owner, i would be more inclined to give someone a go if they got their head down and didnt go on about money all the time. i know its hard to get a start but posting that you wont get out of bed for 50 quid aint gonna do you any favors.
