  1. i watched it and didnt think there was anything wrong with it. They had a few mins to fill so adam got a crack with a saw. A guy i know does training for them and the guy i did a couple of courses with also does a bit with them and there good guys. i Think it was aimed at filling a segment for the layman.
  2. I have had a chain snap on me but the chain catcher on the side case stopped it doing any damage to me or the saw.
  3. They rang me last week to try and sign up with them, they wanted £120+ vat then £20 per month. I told em where to go!
  4. here, here. whats the point of us spending thousands on training, insurance, courses, equipment and spending years building a good reputation as pros, if some one gets a harness and a strop and goes around halfing conifers?? unreal.
  5. get a second hand processor, if its bent and big split it on the splitter first then put the cord onto the processor and it cuts and loads, its still easir than chainsaw and splitter, ive started with an axe and saw and i finally found this is the way to go, you dont need to spend 8 grand on a processor, sure i buy wood in if i can but i get wood off my jobs as well. everybody seems to moan about doing logs on here but at the end of the day if you dont like it then dont do it. simples, in it.

  8. 4 meter lengths, the sycamore on left is 24 tonne and the darker stuff is birch and there is about 15 tonne, the birch is up to 15" diam where the sycamore is up to 12".
  9. Just bought in some wood for next year. cant wait to get stuck in to this lot.
  10. i used to do my wood by hand, chainsaw and log splitter but then i got a processor and its soooo much better, i can fill my pick up in at least half the time. it is a bit of an expense but it will soon pay for itself. the other thing you need is a good supply of wood and wood that is straight.
  11. i have been on it for about 3 weeks now and am gonna buy 200 lts. the health issues are noticeable, also not having to mix fuel and store fuel and oil in containers is a small plus. as an employer it is better because i dont have to worry about jim getting the mix wrong. i know it costs more but when you start using it you dont notice the cost. my saw seem to run fine but none are very old as i try to replace them after a couple of years. Anders at aspen has been very helpful. try it and make your own mind up.
  12. Just what i was thinking, waste of time and money. why would anyone even want one?.

  17. i had the same problem, i contacted them regarding taking out my PL and EL with them and also all my insurance, a guy came out and took all my details etc said he would be in touch.....that was in january. very poor service so i decided to stick with trust.
