  1. Sounds like a propper plonker, I tried reading the article but I couldn't as it's a bit blurred. Hope you get it sorted.
  2. Good call Mozza!!!!
  3. For me the landy/tracked chipper is the perfect combo for the type of work I do. I had a look at mogs today and even though they are cool they ain't for me.
  4. I can recommend the super winch EPI 12.5, I run dyneema bow rope on mine. I have a spare alloy fair lead if you go with a synthetic rope. You can have it for a donation to arbtalk:)
  5. Maybe your name should be angrymog!! Each to there own really mate, a mog would be no use to me and my work whereas my landy is perfect for ME.
  6. And he's an ozzy, alot of them seem to have a chip on their shoulder towards britain.
  7. I have a tracked chipper so no wheel clamp, for most of my customer base a mpg would not be suitable, I know for a fact that alot of my log drop offs you would not get a mog into. I know a mog is not as good as a landy for me.
  8. Just looked at them on google, 15mpg?? Yeah that's great, left hand drive... No thanks, for what I do the land rover is the best.
  9. But it won't do 70 on the motor way, it won't get 5 people init. My landy is the best thing for me mate.
  10. Ha,ha, true Mozza.
  11. Bling, Bling, init blood!! Braaap,Braaap!! Load of crap, again you can't get 4 cube of chip, saws, climbing kit, blower, chipper and stumpgrinders in it.
  12. But you can't get 4 cube of chip in the back mate!!
  13. No, too wide to get down alot of my customers driveways to drop off logs.
  14. For once Stevie your wrong!!
  15. There is nothing available that will be any use to me for work, 4 wheel drive that will fit down narrow drives and tow heavy loads and carry loads of chip. My landy is perfect for this.
  16. Clark who advertise on arbtalk would sort u out, they will do good deals to arbtalkers:)
  17. When I used to do gardening and landscape work before the trees took over full time I had public liability insurance, most of my private customers would want to know f I had it before taking me on to look after their gardens, the hotels and old people's homes insisted on it. It didn't cost very much because at the time I didn't do tree work. Accidents can take place in any shape or form, if you are covered then you have peace of mind, strimming you may break a window or as a mate of mine did he broke the clients kitchen window while strimming.
  18. Wish it was that up here!!
  19. That's why I ain't buying it at that!!
  20. Too much! I had a quote from a guy of £62 plus vat.
  21. Maybe an insurance company representative could answer these question on the forum.
  22. Surely it would be better if the arb world had a recognised governing body that all arb firms and workers were a part of, like the FMB or corgi/gas safe. Part of it would be to have the correct insurance, there are to many people that don't know what the correct insurance cover is. It seems we all have different views on the insurance subject. I have heard of company's that use subcontractors to insist the subcontractor has their own insurance even though they are being employed on a daily basis to carry out work for the said company, this way the company can avoid having employers liabillity. some say this is correct some say not?? What happens in the event of an incident.??
  23. Guitar for me, was in a band, had a record deal, released an album, then it went tits up as it does. Lots of false promises and alot of people talking rubbish and sniffing to much gear. I now rarely pick up my guitar.
  24. Thanks Steve:) :-p
