  1. Agreed, people can get propper anal about logs;)
  2. Same set up as mine mate. I have a. 150 VTR that I tow all the time and chip into the back, just watch out for the rear pads wearing out quickly if you tow a lot. I also put extra heavy duty rear springs and shocks on to really beef it up as when full of chip and towing they do wheelies!! For me it's the best set up without going down the mog route which would be no good for me:)
  3. Plus Vat?
  4. My dealer has been ok but husky did not seem interested. What sort of company charges £20 each way to and your saw back under warranty?
  5. Wrong kind of snow pal, he meant coke, loL
  6. Your lucky, I have had 3 brake bands and I have had 3 starter coil pulls, I use the de comp button every time:( it is a stinking saw when working but mine is just to unreliable. I have lost faith in the entire husky brand, I love my 346 and my 372, but I won't be buying anything else from them. The customer service has a lot to answer for;)
  7. All the wood turners will freak when they see this thread, I sell any I get to a local wood turner as they seem to love the stuff:)
  8. I wouldn't be worried about what chain to put on the 560 mate, I'd be more worried about the reliability of it, mine has been nothing but trouble and will be on eBay soon.
  9. £60 is far to cheap IMO:)
  10. Most customers ask how big a load is though.
  11. It can be a nightmare, I now sell in bulk bags, most people calling up know what a bulk bag is as lot of people have no idea what a cube is. I had one lady remark that I thought u would get more? I explained that you get as much as will go in a bulk bag!! People just want the most for as little money as possible. What makes me laugh is people who will buy a trailer load of sticky fresh larch because its cheap rather than seasoned hardwood then moan tha t it wont burn.
  12. :) good points mate
  13. I've had 2 and not had a problem as yet:)
  14. Thought you were gonna say a hand job:) not tools;)
  15. Why's that then? I ain't chipping it as there are stones and stuff in it, a lot of the hedges I do putting tarps down is too much hassle so bag and burn is easy especially as I have a nice big fire pile:(
  16. I can never be arsed putting tarps down, I just take and bag and burn.
  17. Paramo
  18. Seriously, as Dean says overheads+wage and then do it on a day rate.
  19. £50-2000:)
  20. I have had a life proof case since they came out, I had it 4 months and it broke, sent it back and it lasted 6 months, I am on my 3rd now but don't use it as its also broke but warranty ran out. Back to otterbox now.
  21. I use one of these and a good set of ladders, the plat form ladder is adjustable. Have a look at ladder safety devices web page. Then use a set of long reach hedge cutters with extension.
  22. I do loads of hedges as they can be bread and butter, I charge the same if not more than tree work as the clippings don't go through chipper coz of stones etc. I have ladders, and a platform ladder that can have up to 10ft platform, long hdge cutters with extension. Once you get the kit it's a good earner.
  23. Cheers Nick, Might be a bit much for me. Thanks anyway:)
  24. Go back tonight Jon and paint them white, the owner will be we'll freaked out in the morning:)
