  1. I would John but I want it to be able to be taken to jobs while the tractor is powering the processor:)
  2. The brake band probs have now been sorted on the 550/560, a new brake band and cover is now being retro fit. It has sorted mine right out.
  3. thats what im thinking, i have 1 on my stumpy. im stuck as to which engine, 5.5 hp gx 160 or the gx 270 at 8 hp:confused1: there is £250 in it.
  4. I need a new engine for my log splitter as the chineese engine broke, I am looking at the GX 160, 5.5hp, I have seen them on wallenstein splitters so they must be ok?? Any input appreciated people:)

  8. It was busy mate, good set of lads though, makes all the difference.
  9. Today we had this big ash to take down with obsticals everywhere, fences, arbour, hedge. Really didn't think we would get it done but we did, monkeysteve was climbing and did a Stirling mob as usual. The drag to the chipper was crap, through a small door, got it done though, just got to fell the stick and move the timber now.

  11. I had the same thing a couple of years back. The pipe was through the middle of a stump I ground out, the pipe as 4" down. The gas people said there was no minimum depth for there pipe so I had to pay. I had not done a cat scan and was told by my insurance not to dispute the charge. The first invoice was for £900 I provided photos of how they had put a mole through the tree root and at the 4" depth and they then reduced the cost to £350 which I was advised to pay by my insurance company(Trust) I paid up and the customer went half with me.

  16. Clark cut & climb jacket is brilliant. And waterproof trouser I use paramo or berghaus deluge, cheap but great.

  19. Here are a few pics of some jobs we have done over the past couple of weeks. The Weather has been awful but we cracked on and got done. we are going back in the new year to remove the others.
  20. Defo worth getting a good accountant, I pay £60 a month for mine and he is VERY good and defo worth it.
  21. I sort of know what you mean, a mate of mine is having new laminate floor done he got a quote off a guy who said it would take 3 days and cost 600 quid excluding materials. My mate said so 200 quid a day labour to lay a floor, I ain't paying that!!

  24. Wet,wet,wet again!! I bloody fed right up. Full of cold and lots on. sick of getting soaked. I have tried countless waterproofs and I still get wet, just ordered a cut and climb jacket so will have to see.
