  4. I don't see the point of commenting on others work and saying should of done this or that it. It's like when I was doing a job and the neighbour came out and told me how I should be doing the job and why didn't I do it like that etc, I just find it pointless and SOMETIMES it is people trying to be clever.   5. Good job Chris, you did it how you thought was best and safest and that's all that matters mate. I find it funny and have a chuckle when people say "you should of done it like this" or " you should of done that" at the end of the day the jobs done and all is well. Good pics too.   6. That's fair enough Chris, when I had my big Carlton Remote control machine I used to charge £350 a day if I had do a day rate but most of the time I charged by the job. I remember doing a big redwood stump with my smaller manual machine for £250 and thinking I should have charged more when I was still going at 6 o'clock! Sent from Outerspace.

  13. There is a thread on arbtalk about doing your own blades, a guy on here has a cool little grinder and jig, cost about £500. Use the search function. Sent from Outerspace.
  14. I use aspen and the guys who sub for me don't, there saw stink and I mean stink, makes me feel sick! Using aspen is far cleaner and better for the equipment. What price is that worth? I don't mind paying the extra as I feel its worth it. Sent from Outerspace.

  17. IMO that's too much, I had a n reg 8150 with guarding and botex 560 tl roof mount I paid 15k plus vat for it and it had 6k hours on it. I think yours would be more a 14-15k plus vat. Sent from Outerspace.

  20. If the self employed breaks something of mine through negligence or deliberately then he should pay but if its an accident or wear and tear then that's fair enough. And if I was a self employed lad and If i broke something through negligence then I would pay. Sent from Outerspace.

  25. Cut loads of it yesterday, some was 12-14" so lots of logs for the owner, he has a wood burner so no probs there. Sent from Outerspace.
