The idea behind a taper fit is you can insert a screw to spread the collar, this hass the thread at the opposite side so I have had no option but to try and force it.

. 150 VTR hydralic pump pulley. There is no way to get pulley off as the collar has been incorrectly fitted from new, normally where the gold screw is pointing you should be able to get a grub screw in to spread the collar. Bloody annoying for a Sunday. Any ideas??
  10. Blinking bad work that, makes you wonder why we strive to do a propper job when people will accept utter tosh.
  11. RS 6, the v10 is awesome.
  12. Depends on your overheads and daily running costs. I wouldn't go out and charge £200 a day if my running cost was £300. Realistically if you lost money doing it then why bother. People who go out for daft rates won't be around long, chipper blades, fuel and wear and tear all need to be accounted for plus if you and chipper are working on your own stuff you can charge more so why go out for peanuts.
  13. Buy what you can afford, I started with a TW 150, I bought it new and when sold it 4 years later I got 8 grand back for it. People slag TW off but I think there great. Get a budget and stick to it, look about for a good machine and get it from a reputable dealer with a warranty. Having a chipper will make the job easier and it ain't gonna cost you more than £100 a week I wouldn't think.
  14. I took 6 bulk bags full of hedge clippings to my local SITA waste site for disposal, it cost £10 and I needed a WCL. It was well worth it.
  15. Try it and you will agree.
  16. Get down the kiddies playground on the roundaboot and give the back pack blower some beans, it will spin you like crazy.
  17. Well that's what I thought mate, but as Paul just informed me that is the reduction not sweepings. Phew.
  18. Can't believe you put hedge sweepings through a brand new chipper??
  19. Buy a chipper and you won't regret it. Don't hire it out without you though as it Will get abused, I used to let mine go out to a few tree lads, it always came back with something wrong or late at night. When it came back with £400 quid damage but no one said anything it never was hired again. It now goes with me and that's it.
  20. I ain't that big mate:)
  21. My 130 is 2600kg with ally chip body and saws, fuel rakes, roof rack and a full tank of juice. I just went and weighed it:)
  22. Sometimes, I do track the chipper into people's gardens also, and I find it comes in handy to be able to track near a tree m&d leave the chip on site.
  23. Defender 130 with Timberwolf 150 VTR. Winch, tipping chip body, tool box, heavy duty suspension. Brilliant Arb set up for me.
  24. So if I'm towing chipper (1.5 tonne) on back if my 130 and I'm within 30 miles if base TW I do t need a tacvo?
  25. The box is never big enough! the bigger the box the more you put in it.
