  1. Probably makes no difference but won't they be buired abit deep before they reach daylight unless planted shallow? I dig a trench chuck spuds in backfill the trench with manure from the compost heap then the soil from dug trench back on top, then a few weeks after they pop up, go I along the rows with a chillington hoe several times earthing up. Proabably OTT but like the look of having large ridges a furrows....

  6. Not probably not but neither will petrol? Cuts about 12mm in reality but will do more depend on species 23.5mm is whats qouted in info which is same or better than most petrol ones i think...
