  1. So why are the old series better?
  2. Maybe the idea was as the goverment wont stop the boats they will kill the immigrants instead? Basically an attempt at a pogrom
  3. Lefty woke do gooders, playing at making a difference as an excuse for a jolly. Does the same apply to mountain rescue and the RNLI or only the oversea ones?
  4. So I thought Wh(watt hrs) is indicative of runtime not amp hrs? 2x18v 5.0 batteries makes it 180Wh capacity with 1kw motor on the strimmer... 1x 40v x5.0 battery also is 180Wh capacity(well it calcs as 200Wh but there listed as having 180wh) but on a machine that has a 1.5kw motor By but that^ calc it should be the opposite way round with the runtime being 1/3 shorter due to the larger motor?
  5. Whats the "beef" with DART?
  6. Not got one but the 3 echo small 20cc to 30cc 2 stroke strimmers look better than the smaller stihls, & seem to get positive reviews. Id not bother with any bent shaft or loop handle models are they are all shit to use imo. As for a hedge trimmer I can recommmend the makita battery one. Much prefer it to the 2 stroke ones https://www.amazon.co.uk/MakitA-DUH601Z-Li-ion-Brushless-Trimmer/dp/B07P8DHJG7/ref=asc_df_B07P8DHJG7/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=696352102722&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4167240882021707188&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9180843&hvtargid=pla-763772823794&psc=1&mcid=febf70e6379735b895b23efa292edd5c&th=1&psc=1&gad_source=1 & I think its better than some of the the stihl battery ones ive tried.
  7. Battle of cable street all over again......
  8. My makita hedge cutter a 18v one is excellent, while the DUR369A 18v x2 brushcutter abit of a dissapointment due to short runtime. It works fine, but with two 18v 5.0amp batteries last not much more than 10 min with line cord on meduim rpm setting and about 15min with the blade. Theres a jap guy on youtube uses/tests loads of makita cordless stuff & does loads of strimming. Shows what volume of work the battery kit is capable of. The new 40v system brushcutter he uses alot seems to have alot longer runtime even though its a bigger motor which i don't get.... UR013G - Brush Cutter XGT® WWW.MAKITAUK.COM Product Cost about £1000 with 2 batteries though for 1.5kw.... so not cheap Runtime listed as 53mins in catalogue V 23mins for mine with same capacity batteries....but has a larger KW motor thumb.jpg 園芸商品カタログ ECATALOG.MAKITA.CO.JP 「園芸商品カタログ202404_Z15318-1」
  9. I don't think they are much good better off buying a newer saw with springs. Rob @ Chainsaws bars did sell some i remember But best limit the use of the older saws.
  10. The only "proper" brand of backpack split shaft multi tools ive seen are the 2 stroke active brand italian made ones and the very expensive battery ones Professional Back Pack | Active s.r.l. I don't like the ergonomics of strimmers with loop handles & the larger modern brand name brushcutters have full anti vibe mounts so dont think backpacks have any less vibes and they are heavier.... All the no brand china stuff seem to have alot more vibes.

  14. Ive done quite alot using handtools as a volunteer yrs ago apart from the largest stumps that were left for diggers Used to just burn it all sometimes had 6 fires going at once on one site Smaller stuff dug up with mattocks as is shallow rooted & loppers bow saws etc. I always wanted to try theese they look effective esp as its so shallow rooted a plant. 15. Very true about the increased the fuel use. Grass blades can work well on upright grass but not very good if the grass is collapsed which it often is.... The grass blade leaves everything unshredded more like scythe. Not that good for very tall 6ft bracken as is collaspes over etc. A mulching blade is better imo but they are still slow-ish going on vey tall bracken.... Best might be the 4mm cord & jet fit head but I never tried one.... Depends on how tough & woody the stems of the bracken are atm i suppose by this time of yr... Also the spores can be very bad atm so beware
  16. My advice is don't use insecticides. Actually think they should not be available to the general public. The garden centres are chock full of that shite.

  19. Even jnr said he went too far with the coup. Trump's son urged father to intervene in 6 January Capitol riot WWW.BBC.CO.UK Donald Trump Jr urged his father's aides to get the ex-president to stop the mob, text messages show.
