I think I need to get on a plane now, I believe her box needs attending to as well. But yes unless you personally are in a position to change things get on with your life to the best of your abilities and avoid losing time wishing things were different. God loves a tryer. Also much earlier in this thread ( can't believe its rattled on for this long !) it was mentioned that she'd bought a neighbouring house for a million just to demolish it. I cant imagine she sent 'the boys' round to negotiate this , - the money was taken and life moves on. As long as she continues to pay the bucks to maintain the place we're all potential winners. Move on.!!

There isn't a roll pin either in the thickness of the frame of the outer eye ,or behind it and between it and the ram eye by any chance. There must be a securing pin somewhere that you just haven't found

Lunches while at work- How important to get it right?

West Cork in ireland, and maybe other areas has a long standing tradition of providing a lunch for a contractor or labourer. All the more common and massive when working for farmers. The damn things look like Christmas dinners - almost all of my clients ( mobile milling) are farms. I've had to learn to intercept the wife/ mother /cook and protest my inability to eat large meals during the day. I'm always given the look of deep loathing having refused the food. Having attempted the ordeal a couple of times and been almost asleep on my feet and unable to bend to pick up the planks just a cup of tea will do for me. Also how can I price my hourly rate when I've been sat at their table eating their grub? Always have a good breakfast, a good supply of crisps and sweets, then the main event when I get home. -
What's the capital of Greece ? About €150 at the moment.!!

Check out my second home after arbtalk of couse, the American site forestry forum and its sawmilling section. Loads of home made mills using tyre band wheels, golf carts, ride on mowers old trucks, anytjing you can think of .- almost always does the job and plenty of support and help, so not as daft an idea as ya might have thought. Jon, trees like this come up maybe once every 6 months so I just cant justify the cost of an 880 hence the skip tooth method to reduce horsepower required and givw the old girl a chance

Are you asking me or the original poster? Mines 36". I'm planning to grind off every 3rd cutter as this saw only comes out when I need to use every one of those inches.

Are you running a long bar with standard chain? It certainly bogs my 066,- it simply can't clear the chip fast enough in big cuts

As Carlos says I'm glad I live in Ireland. I doubt the rule book will ever make it down to the far S.W. I'm dreading driving back in the UK, - might as well just surrender my license now !!! Shaun

I used to have grabber at2's on my defender. Were a good all round road tyre , well mannered in the wet, just about ok in the snow ,very long lived, dreadfull for picking up stones and flinging them into the wheel arches, but only marginally better than poor off road . Wet grass with a thin mud soup would defeat them every time often even without the trailer behind. I never trusted them afterwards and would usually chain up with snow chains to get the sawmill into fields. Never any problem then apart from being covered in mud taking chains back off at the end of the day. Have now gone to cooper stt's and haven't chained up yet after 4 months in soggy wet irish summer.

Easy start ahhhh gorgeous. Its been a long time sice I've had an engine that rotten it was needed. I'm almost tempted to buy an old Massey wreck just to warrant buying a tin and inhale those sweet vapours. But back to the post try out the tick proof clothing and plenty of deet if your constantly at risk

We bought our farm in year 2000, it had pockets of jkw in various places. I started spraying then with glyphosate then, and resprayed any new growth as soon as it had 2 or 3 leaves fully open to take up the spray. I'm still getting odd stems of the stuff breaking through. So spraying has stopped the major clumps but defo not stopped growth. Gotta go now - need to mix up another pack of spray !! Shaun
